I hate to revert the thread to actual Rugby, but heading towards 3/8ths of the way through my RWC quadruple header. Scotland fluked their way to full points against Romania, one of their tries should have been chalked off for a pen, and Romania just came up short.
Namibia v Fiji not really a massive game, but as I missed NZ v Tonga yesterday because of work, I'm immersing myself tonight. Can't wait to see the Argies turn over England later, and then Wales do the same to the Saffa's tomorrow morning.
New Zealand performing the Hakkar (sp?) is one of sports great phenomenon's.

well Ireland are doing there usual at the world cup... got a feeling Italy might do us in the group(Aussies are a given) but if we scrape out of the group SA will rip us apart.
Would love to see France win it, also I'd like to see a few of the underdogs get a win over the big teams
All of the supposed tier 1 teams have been pretty dire so far. Hope the quality picks up big time!
New Zealand toppled Tonga without looking too spectacular.
Romania almost beat Scotland, and absolutely man shamed them in the forward battle.
France were given a good run by Japan before settling down.
Australia were 6-6 with Italy after 60 minutes before they got it together and admittedly looked pretty good.
England were fortunate to get away with a win against a strong but limited Argentina side.
Ireland looked crap against the USA and should probably get the lube ready for the ass raping that will no doubt ensue against Australia next week.
South Africa looked rubbish and were very, VERY lucky to get away with the win against Wales.
All in all, pretty awful so far, but I'm trying to be positive by putting it down to nerves and rust and sometimes poor weather conditions.
Looking forward to the Samoans getting their campaign under way. They're always good for a bit of excitement, even if it borders on illegal sometimes. Samoa vs. Fiji is going to be mental.
Nah, don't be bitter. The truth is we were much the better side but we couldn't quite close it off. South Africa were only in our half twice and they came away with two tries, and they also defended very well.
We had enough territory and possession to win it without having to rely on that kick, or the missed drop goal by Priestland. We shouldnt feel aggrieved or that we are victims of some miscarriage of justice as that only perpetuates our failures. Don't forget that we beat Ireland after an illegal throw in last year, we scored a try after a forward pass against against Scotland. We also did a 'smash and grab' against England recently that was almost exactly what happened to us against SA.
We were good enough to compete with and outperform the reigning World Champions in a fanrastic game ....... but not quite confident or ruthless enough to finish them off

What a fantastic result by the Irish, and they absolutely deserved it. Australi are many people's favourites for the World Cup, but the Irish showed how to beat them - take them on up front, smash their pack and don;t turn the ball over. Great result.
If (and it's a big if, because we are playing the WHOLE of Samoa next) Wales go through as runners up, it looks like we may face the Irish in the Quarter Finals.

Wow, ground out a tough win over the amazing Samoans. Real attritional stuff and we finally closed out a game professionally and had a few lucky bounces go our way. We will definitely beat Namibia and with a bit of luck the Fijians will have been ruined by what South Africa did to them.
Ironically, it will suit us better to come second in the group, and then get into the half of the draw without New Zealand, South Africa and Australia in it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed as we are doing really well in the Group of Death. Ireland in the quarters is a 50:50 game!!!!
