..........is Khan still 19 though...I don't think he's ready for the champions yet. Porge Paez Jr is at the same point he gets PPV cards beating people from the midwest from the same gym and all everyone talks about is how good he is. I know you all expect great things frpm Khan but don't push him too far or he'll become another Vargas.

Yes, or one day he will be de-feet-ed.

He will be revealed as having 'feet' of clay!

I wonder who will accomplish the 'feet' of beating him?

Yeah, that's why they make him wear boxing boots. If they didn't he would just disembowel all his opponents with his big toenail like a velociraptor.

Excuse me but as a hobbit myself I take objection to this statement.

We hobbits do indeed have hairy feet but they are not ugly like Amir's.

I really dont mind that khan is fighting people like this for the time being. give the lad time let him bum build get himself a nice little record and then when he gets in the ring with the better people it will look better cos his record will be 20-0 (18 ko's) etc.............just give the lad time. He will have no excuse if he gets beaten then

Another dud... ranked 50 places lower than him on boxrec 12(3)-2-1 record - so no punching power

Has only fought one guy with a positive record that being Martin Watson and he lost a 10 rounder 99-90...

We can all pick oppenents for Khan, various other prospects etc but why fight a guy who in his last two fights lost and then struggled to beat Baz Carey (59-56) over 6x2.

Why not fight Martin Watson since he has just beaten this guy - similar record 14-3-1 - has beaten 3 guys who had only lost one previous, dropped a 59-55 to prospect Gavin Rees and pushed current British lightweight champion Lee Meager to a 96-94 decision.

Similar record, clearly very beatable - its not an unrealistic match at all. There was talk of Scott Lawton at one point whos a reasonble domestic fighter - Khan needs to be moving up slowly, picking on utter nobodies will teach him nothing - beating our fringe english / regional title contenders is virtually without risk but will also help him progress.

Another poor match in my opinion
Well I dont how much of a say Khan has in his opponent selection if any, hes letting Warren guide the way. I think Warren should be stepping it up a lil. He really stepped it up when Khan fought Komjathi. This Barret guy has a good amatuer record he says he won 60 of his 75 amatuer fights. While he isnt expected to test Amir, I dont think hes that bad either. As for Lawton I, Amirs team made an offer to Lawton for a fight but Lawton only wanted 8 or 10 rounder with Amir or he didnt want the fight. This is expected to be Amirs last 6 rounder.
