I reckon Haye stands a better chance than Sultan Ibragimov. I didn't hear anyone calling him crazy for wanting to fight Klitschko.

Sultan was an established fighter at heavyweight especially vs bigger guys.

Hell I think anyone who wants to fight Wlad is crazy to be honest with you

Probably the most level headed post about this whole topic so far

    Rep certainly deserved

As for the swatting down on the defense that he does...it makes for a WIDE OPEN right cross see Ray Mercer and Chris Byrd and Derrick Jefferson and Calvin Brock and Charles Shufford.

The Brewster II fight is a terrible example. Brewster shouldn't have been allowed in the ring - he was completely washed up and still Klitschko didn't impress. On medical grounds Brewster shouldn't have been in the ring due to all the eye problems he had, he took the fight as one last payday.

And when did beating a washed up hasbeen like Ray Merver suddenly become impressive. Derrick Jefferson was hardly a gifted fighter either - terrible stamina and far too easy to hit albeit entertaining.

I've just looked at Wlad's record and it is poor - he's just been beating faded hasbeens like Botha, Mercer, Brewster (rematch) etc and average Heavyweights like Monte Barrett while in between getting sparked twice.

Haye might be shouting his mouth off and probably realises that Klitschko is there for the taking. The man fights like a pacifist these days.(Wlad)

Klitschko is rubbish. He got beaten by Ross "The Boss" Purrity. When he does get beat he's terrified to get back in the ring with the guy who just beat him. He's no champion, just a six foot seven inch fraud. As soon as a decent heavyweight comes along he'll get beat again. If Haye is any good at heavyweight he'll flatten him.

Whatever you say buddy....all I know is that Wlad will hurt Haye and has the chance to destroy David's career.

You see the shots Haye took vs Mormeck and Thompson....he just simply won't be able to take that from Wlad and walk away from it

If Haye can carry the weight at heavyweight he'll KO him just like Ross "The Boss" and, hilariously, Corrie Sanders did.

Uh huh ......well if Haye plans on beating Wlad he had better try it Sanders' way instead of Purrity's or Brewster's way.

Purrity took massive punishment in the 11 rounds they fought. Wlad weighed only 225 at that point in time...I imagine he added power with the weight he has put on.

Brewster took a hell of a beating in their first fight and Wlad ran out of gas.

Sanders jumped on Wlad early HOWEVER Wlad gave up his height and reach in that fight and Sanders took advantage of that. Wlad has done no such thing in recent fights.

Haye is going to have to be VERY special to beat Wlad

I guess no one has ever told David Haye to be careful what you wish for.

He needs to be as special as Ross "The Boss" Purrity and his twenty losses. Just because he's the best at the minute doesn't mean he's any good.

....it means he's better than the 50 guys he has beaten 44 by KO.

And Haye has done what to earn this fight or show that he's ready to even challenge Wlad much less beat him?

He's knocked over a bunch of tomato cans. I didn't say Haye was worth puttting in the ring with him. I said we'll have to see with Haye. But as soon as a decent heavyweight comes along Vlad will get flattened. Again.

Mormeck is a decent power puncher especially at cruiserweight but nothing compared to Wlad even though Wlad spends more time pawing with his left and knocking his opponents glove down rather then throwing it with power all the time.

Haye also likes to hold the left hand low and try to roll with right hands. He can roll perfectly with a Wlad right hand, it doesn't matter he isn't going to be able to eat Wlad right hands and stay upright.

The good news is he has considerable power himself and I believe that power will carry. No reason not to. And if he fights Wlad he will be the busiest fighter Wlad has ever seen and he won't be scared of Wlad. The only guy not to be tentative in the ring with Wlad lately was Peter and he was able to find Wlad with power.

It's a GREAT fight. I wouldn't mind seeing it made for tomorrow.
Wladimir will have his hands full with the secound best heavy in Thompson.
