My youngest son is a casual fan of Loma and asked when he was fighting next. He loves his skills and ability. Hope he can reclaim the title and become a champion again.

carlos cuadras has apparently suffered an achilles injury & is out of the andrew moloney fight. open up that wallet & try to bring kosei tanaka over

This one fell under the radar. Little bit of a late start with time difference just hope main kicks off before Midnight . And no funny business should we go to the cards down under. Thinking Loma wide on the cards unless his wheels have really come off.
Pretty pedestrian but fluid over the first 5 rounds of 12 with Andrew Maloney v Pedro Guevara. Maloney boxing tight and smart staying mobile. Guevera 1-2 at a time but solid with them.
Like Guevara 7th. He really sits down on his shot and making body big the focus. Maloney darting in but nothing in front of it and stays there to get caught bit much.
Actually smart pressure Guevara 8th, subtle natural power. Maloney with a crisp shot at end but little else.
Guevara 9th more effective punching pretty much. Nothing dramatic but the body work is huge. Maloney doing a lot of poke and peck and less of it last few. Guarantee these judges have him washing Guevara over 9 though
Guevara 10th. He seriously needs to mash the gas given the circumstances .
Maloney simply fighting to the final bell. Guevara 10. Doing the substantive work and moving him around like furniture.
I fukin really wish they would stop the live money odds betting bs. Boxing is already crooked anough.
Maloney letting hands go early. Headbutt midway. Better more assertive 12th and Maloney clinching up, took the 12th. Unsure of first 4-5 rounds fully but gave Guevara 5 of the last 6 rounds clean. Cards taking time..
115-113 Guevara...116-113 Maloney...115-113 Guevara split winner Guevara. Wow . I eat my words! No robberies here.

Maloney sights an injured left shoulder, says he's retiring and "fuck that"
I know the main event was at 11am in Perth so it could be ppv in USA so 5am over here but was expecting some news on the fight.

Got a little late on this end and just watched to enjoy the show. Never been a huge Loma fan but he looked absolutely superb. Now sure we can knock Kambo as a one trick pony but he remained a sturdy and tough as teak operator and former unified champ. Other than a few spots early he was just not in this one. Loma hit on all cylinders with the come forward and wind bending get off to the side thing he does . Just a methodical breakdown of Kambosos with emphatic finish in the 11th. Loma clearly stands next in line for Stevenson or Tank, likely Stevenson.
on a side note if you missed the ring announcer you missed to absolute worst shit show I believe I've ever witnessed. A literal carnival barker and a pattern we have now in boxing where every perimeter figure/official needs to make it about themselves. Shouting, yelling, red face pointing mma style and throwing cards in the air . Makes you truly appreciate the professionalism and class of a Lennon Jr and Buffer.
