I think it's his OBF mandatory, the other choice was Povetkin who's WBC mandatory? I could be wrong.

Tony Thompson is a class operate akward southpaw who will beat Wlad! The guy has one loss early in his career he will expose the fraud.

He's a big tall heavyweight, pretty solid, decent puncher. Probably not fast enough but if he doesn't get stage fright he might do allright. Hopefully.

Thompson is the WBO mandatory. To keep his alphabet trinkets Wlads got to fight two mandatories a years. In the fall he will fight his IBF mandatory Alexander Povetkin.

It's nice to have a unified champ, but it brings on a whole new set of problems with crap mandatories. Thompson should have to fight Povetkin for the right to fight the unified champ.

He's a tall American HW, I don't think he can beat Wlad, but his range should level the playing field a bit. He beat Timor Ibragimov and Dominick Guinn very easily.

At least he's only fighting the no.1 contenders and not some chosen mandatory. He should be clear to fight one of the other nelt holders for a good 9 months after that, which seems to be his intention.

Tony Thompson- well, he might make it interesting, but after that, I'd like to see Vlad fight the winner of Valuev-Chaguev. Really, I just want to see if Vlad could knock out the sasquatch Valuev. That would be fun to watch his big azz fall.

Tony The Tiger Thompson is the one if not the best Heavy right now, He is well schooled. I would not be surprised to see Klitschko lose this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofnyH...eature=related

Tony is a very good heavyweight. Unfortunately for him, his style is all wrong for fighting Wlad. His strenghts are size, boxing skills, a good jab and a good chin, but Wlad is better in these areas. Except the chin part, obviously, but it won´t matter because Tony doesn´t punch hard. Also, he is slow. You need 2 things to beat Wlad...power and speed, and Thompson has neither. The ultimate heavyweight to beat Wlad would have been the young Mike Tyson. He would have simply annihilated him. As for Thompson, who has waited a long time for his shot and is very deserving, it´s a shame that it´s coming against the wrong guy. Thompson could beat Peter or Chagaev in my opinion. Expect Wlad-Thompson to look a lot like Wlad-Mccline. I believe it will be slowpaced, dull and one-sided, but hope I´m wrong.

By the way...Hi everybody. Nice forum you got here

Thompson is a more worthy opponent than Povetkin
