its not necessarily a lame opponent for Hughie at this stage, but its definitely a lame opponent considering all the big talk

I've only seen bits of Hughie, but I don't see why he should be expected to jump right in with proven fighters despite what he may be saying. He's five years younger than Joshua, to put it one way. His cousin Tyson wouldn't have beaten any top ten HW at his age either, very few HW's are ready yet. This Aguilera guy looks durable on paper at least, been the distance with some good fighters and only stopped twice by big punchers, which Hughie doesn't look to be at all. I'm sure it will be a cakewalk, but the point is getting rounds in with guys who are remotely dangerous is still valuable experience for a young HW.

Hughie is still developing and far from world class. Glad he is on free TV. Good show.

Yep, good fight for considering so called world class fighters turned it down and left them n the lurch.

If they (Really) want the fights, maybe Fat Mick might have to stump up a bit more cash.
Like Carl Froch said Saturday, sometimes you have to take a gamble.

I'm disappointed. The way Peter Fury was talking about a "top 10", I was expecting at least a decent top 25 HW opponent.

Aguilera is just an obese human punching bag. He's lost 6 of his past 10 fights.

They had top ten ranked fighters agree to fights only to up their financial demands on receiving contracts.

Thats why Calzaghe didnt fight Hopkins in 2003. Hopkins agreed and then asked for 3 times more than the agreed purse.

Parker's looking at Takam so there was no chance of it being him. But this is just a water treading fight for Hughie. He should get some rounds in against an experience journeyman.

Actually a bit of a step up for him. Nagy is a stubborn nail with awkward shots and honestly think he outworked and beat undefeated Washington and Breazelle last time out. Hughie is 21 and two years in so decent opponent, ignore the inactivity of Nagy and pack a lunch.

I think this is comparable to World champion Bernard Hopkins turning down long term belt holder Joe Calzaghe.
It seem obvious to me Hughie Fury will fight anyone at all , I don't understand why top ten rated fighters don't agree to the terms that Fat Mick offers them.
Its a total disgrace for my money , I'm sure every top rated fighter took the fight only to then pull out at the last minute . Thank god for Nagy saving the show.

Fedesov asked for a big purse and when agreed he was sent the co tract then asked for it to be trippled!

Ustinov agreed after Warren had offered him the Hughie fight but then Hyurinov (or however you spell it) stepped in and put a stop to it waiting on a potential Ortiz fight later in the year.
