    Thumbs up retired boxers foundation

There is an Organisation that a fellow poster on another site speak to regular & he has asked me to post on here, Alex Ramos is the president and you have many other reps all unpaid, I chat to Gumersindo the philly rep often!! They do great work for injured boxers etc after they have finished the game and many end up with mental issues due to the punishment they sustained in the ring, drug/drink problems etc etc........

Well they work with all manner of ex champs Meldrick Taylor etc etc, Would you lot be so kind as to sign this petition for them!

Basically it says in America put a $1 change per seat that goes to a boxers retirement fund for every fight he has........(MANY DONT GET TO BE CHAMPS THEY DONT MAKE TONS OF CASH).....its these that we have cheered on that these fine chaps want to help. I know this is an American thing but we tend to follow suit.......SIGNING THE PETITION COST YOU NOTHING IT THE THOUGHT AND INTENTION BEHIOND YOU SIGNING THAT WILL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!

Thanks for reading and if you sign let me know what you all think about this.............

The link copy and paste into your browser if this does not work!
    www.thepetitionsite.com/1/help-create-a-professional-boxers-pension-plan

Sure I'll sign it's a fine cause, not sure about the dollar per seat deal because any given card could have over a dozen fighters so that would be a bit steep but the idea is right. Something has to be done to protect these boxers after retirement.

We need a boxing commission, whether domestic or international, there needs to be some sort of oversight commission. John McCain has been pushing for one as one of his pet projects but it's a hard thing to implement.

IMO, this is the most pressing issue facing boxing today, by far.

Good to see it's still going around, I did a similiar thread last year ,and posted that link on a bunch of Boxing forums...to be honest it didn't get the support I would hope for, but hopefully it will catch on. I've already signed it but good on you for trying to get more sig's.

I remember that one No Contest...good looking out.I'll try to do it right this time....after the last signing I was Bombarded with E-mails from the Site but eventually got it squared away.

Hell of a cause and we should all support the retired and Injured Guys.Amat nailed it with a unified body needed State/world wide.Long over due and the lack of functionality and "focus" on whats Immportant after boxing,The bigger picture.... is border line Embarrassing and a shame.

Probably because half of the members on that site are crooked promoters themselves who campaign against fighter rights.

Come on people 4 fucken replies.

You bitch and moan about how boxers are cheated out and how we need to do something about it and here's an opp. to do something and 4 of you are the only ones who did something about it.

When I see shit like this happen (cause this isn't the 1st time I've seen this happen) it tells me that you can't take 3 minutes of your time to sign it.

telboy66, I've had the opp. to meet Mr. Ramos on several occasions and he's great and the fact that someone like him is behind this is great.

I've signed this one and I sent it out to everyone I know.
