    Some to make not of is that the WBA was the organization doing 15 rd bouts. While the WBC was doing 12 rd bouts...

    Duk-Koo vs. Mancini took place in '82 however many fights we're 15 rd bouts after that.

    Paez vs. Groove in '88 is the last scheduled bout of 15 rds this was for the IBF strap.

    Hmm interesting, I always thought it was because of that, that it was a catalyst of sort to reduce the number of rounds. Live and learn. Thanks.

    It was a catalyst. The Wbc who was not the sanctioning body changed from 15 to 12. The Wba and Ibf followed suit a few years later and when the Wbo formed in 88 they had 12 round title fights.
