I personally wouldnt mind seeing it happen, James Toney could get revenge after all those years or maybe Roy Jones could prove he is just better Than Toney no matter what age or weight!

a have no interest in this fight. what would the point of it be . If it happens , Jones should win a lackluster and boring decision. Toney has nothing left
Toney with no injury would beat Roy's ass..
Lebedev got very lucky..
Did you see Jones vs. Hopkins II ? It was absolutely dreadful.
The one word I could think of to describe a Jones vs. Toney match now would be PITIFUL.
That said, if they need the money that bad then they should fight one another. Probably a very good payday for each of them compared to what else is out there.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
It wouldnt be a fight, but a show. Both are C class fighters now, and this would most likely be a PPV.
Lets see Holmes vs Foreman rather than this!
Re: Roy Jones vs James Toney in 2012? Could it happen...
I guess it COULD happen. The question is: why
Toney was clearly injured and it seems to have been worse than many thought it might be too. Toney isn't quite done yet and I'm willing to give Toney a final throw of the dice.
He will knock out Jones Jr.
I want to see Toney come back and make a statement, he totally fucked his knee up. I was saying as much when it happened, but it seems to be being swept under the rug. Since when does James Toney fall down EVERY TIME he throws a right? There was clearly a reason for it all. Even being semi shot can't make you stumble non-stop.
Toney has no right to call for a Lebedev rematch, but I want to see him back and soon. Stay away from BK dammit. There is time for that after retirement.
No one should have any interest in this fight.
However, I wouldn't be shocked if it happens.
I'd hate to see such a fight.
Roy Jones is more washed up than Danny Williams' favourite spoon & James Toney, although not as far gone as Roy, he's a long way from his heyday.
This would be a horrible fight & it would be just about each fighter's ego, rather than a meaningful contest to see who is the best.
