    Default Dan Brown books

OK boys and girls Im at the tail end of Da Vinci Code and have really enjoyed it. When I bought it I noticed a couple of other titles by Dan Brown, Digital Fortress is the one that springs to mind. Any good?

Any other titles along similar lines worth a look?

I read the Da Vinci Code earlier this year:

    - the author nicked the central idea from someone else, to he extent that 'Hugh Teabring' is an anagram of the other author's name.
    - characterisation was really poor and thinly sketched
    - the plot twists were pure melodrama
    - the coincidence of the investigating policewoman being of the bloodline of Christ was extraordinary
    - it was very poorly written

So, I guess I didn't enjoy it (as thise things are all only my opinion). Lots of people have though, and I suppose that is what counts inasmuch as making money if not critical success.

X Have you read the Holy blood and the holy grail? Supposed to be good.

Im not that big on reading other than boxers biographies that kind of thing. But I thought Da Vinci Code was must read, couldnt put it down. I initially bought it to read whilst my boys were at gym, but soon enough I was reading it all the time. The short punchy chapters mean its very difficult to stop.

I've read all 4 of Dan Brown's books and Digital Fortress is the worst IMO. Average read though, depends what you like. If you enjoyed the Da Vinci Code then try Angels and Demons, the best of Dan Brown's books. Only problem is that all of his books have the same basic structure, plot, characters etc... If you read more than one of his books you will know exactly what is happening and going to happen when you read the next.

    wooooahhhhhhh there sailor.

Try Angels and Demons its very similar. Perhaps too similar, but it has some good twists and the same religious backdrop...oh and the same breakneck pace

None of the other Dan Brown (or other similar) books I've read can match the first time I read the Da Vinci Code. I've tried a few but just couldn't get into 'em. Browns other books Digital Fortress and Deception point have the same short snappy style but just aren't quite as good. Still good reads...just don't expect to be as hooked

I watched the film last night. Dan Browns made an absolute killing re-telling an old story and being part of a pretty average film, nice work if you can get it.

    I still enjoyed the book.
