Default Gatekeepers you want to see back in the ring

I was just watching Collazo/Berto again. I'd really like to see Collazo back in the ring, I mean he was extremely competitive with some top level boxers.

Another is Miguel Vazquez, I love Titere's spoiler style, he'll make anyone look bad.

I don't even think he has qualified as a gate keeper for a lonnnng time but I never complain about seeing Emmanuel Augustus fight

I love his attitude, he kills me - My favourite all time Eman moment was his "Double Hadoken" punch on his opponent on the Roy Jones/Calzaghe undercard. Hiarious..he even got away with it too.

On top of all that, he is a decent boxer and feckin tough as old boots!

I always had admiration for Sam Soliman, almost no talent, zero power but developed a style along with ridiculous fitness that got him to world title shots. Made everyone except for Mundine look bad including Winky Wright. He has fought a couple of times recently but nobody of note.

I hope Kassim Ouma gets another fight against Vanes as well.

I loved seeing Augustus dance around the ring doing his own thing and think he's a pretty much over the hill now, but he was the definition of "hard to look good against" He had great fights with Ward and Mayweather. Although on fight night round 4 they made him waaay too chinny

Solimon gets a lot of crap because of his monkey/looping punch move he likes to do, but you always get an honest effort with him, he seems like a decent guy too. I have a lot of respect for Solimon.

Paulie Malinaggi. The guy is funny with his antics. I don't necessarily want to see him fight, but just love the post fight speeches, getting his haircut in between rounds, etc.

    That motherfukker is pure entertainment!

I think Zab qualifies as a Gatekeeper now.

a bout with khan or Maidana would be interesting.

I really hate this term gate keeper. I think it's a bit silly.

Really we're talking about fighters who didn't realize their potential and are now in a rut or fighters who were once good maybe even great but are now to old to mix it with the elite in their devision.

i feel sorry for callazo. That guy's got a lot of talent and really deserves alot more than what he has.

Chi and Pacquiao should have fought years ago at super feather

Collazo in my opinion is a much much better fighter than a gatekeeper. Thats an insult to the guy sorry, he beat Berto for sure IMO. Definately top 5 welter no doubt man....

Collazo has talent for sure, but he hasn't won a welterweight fight since 2005, surely that disqualifies him from top 5. I really like the guy, he is a challenge for anyone and you could make arguments that he beat both Berto and Hatton. BUT he didn't get the nod this is boxing and at the end of the day if you don't have the backing of the big promoters you aren't going to ever get the nod on the top level, he doesn't have the power to take the decision out of the hands of the judges. Hence he is a gatekeeper. It would be nice to live in a world of fair judges and an overall less corrupt system, but this is where we are, that's the reality of professional boxing.

I would still have a hard time classifying him as a gatekeeper, but I might be nitpicking as to what the term actually means.
