I usually don't care too much about how much fighters make and how they split the purse, but I'm kinda curious about this one. Forget about the negotiations between Roach and Team Mayweather. What do YOU think is a fair split between Manny and Floyd? And why?

60/40 to the winner would be brilliant but 50/50 is the way to go.

I voted 60/40 Manny, simply really, Manny is THE man at the moment, PBF needs to beat Manny to climb above him in the P4P rankings ( Manny 1 PBF 2 as i see it ). Dare i even suggest Manny would generate the more PPV buys than PBF. People buy to watch PBF get beat, if they decide to buy at all. I personally have never subscribed to a PBF fight cos he is boring and not worth the money for excitement alone, whereas with Manny ya gauranteed excitement, therefor justifies any PPV cost

IMO Floyd is the bigger draw, and well brings in more PPV numbers as seen in the past, but Pacquiao's been taking the bigger risks and has quite a buzz on him right now, plus the Filipino fanbase that flocks over to Vegas is huge, that said i think they both should get 50/50, they both evenly need the fight to prove that they're the best, so they should be paid accordingly, this fight is gonna do huge numbers, so they should know that 50/50 is still a good 15 mil not counting PPV cut

doesn't matter why they order it, cause it doesn't change the fact that they pay money to order it and it's still money that goes into Mayweather's pocket, it's not theory but fact that Floyd has higher PPV sales than Manny, no matter what the reason

Manny is the more exciting, P4P no.1 fighter in the world but Floyd is the numbers man. So on that logic it should be evens but in boxing, im starting to understand that it's ALL about numbers hence Floyd has the right to ask for the Lions share.

I voted 50-50, but was torn between that and 60-40 Pac. Manny's done a hell of a lot more for boxing lately, and PBF seems to be resting on his past laurels. And the argument that PBF has the bigger name is wearing thin, because if you go global, Manny probably has the bigger name recognition right about now. (When was the last time Floyd's picture came out in Time Magazine?).

I seen on here from an earlier thread that it should be in favor of Pacman at least 51/49 in favor of the champion which seems pretty damn fair to me.

If they were true fighters that truly loved boxing they would do it for free.

They are not true sportsmen. They do not care who is better. Just greedy money merchants proven by the argument over the purse split. Fact.

Pac is the bigger name and on a better run of top fighters, he should get 51%.

60/40 In favor of Pacquiao because Mayweather has proven he can't draw the live gate. Pacquiao deserves the lion share of the gate and because he is the one bringing the title into the ring and If they make a 30,000 live gate, that's going to mean 20,000 more seats that Pacquiao will fill.

considerable number of people bought floyd's fights to see him lose, to see him get knocked down and see him gets beaten due to his not so likeable traits outside the ring.

it can be said in another way that people bought the ppv to see floyd's opponent do a number on him. they want to see the opponent to defeat floyd. credit for the ppv buy also goes to floyd's opponent.

I think they should go 50/50 but if there is any uneven share it definitely goes PBF's way. Whether we like it or not no matter what the reason is people buy his fights PBF is the proven bigger draw. The money side of boxing has absolutely nothing to do with how exciting the fighters are, who is perceived better, or who is liked more. Who gets more people to buy the PPV is what matters. The numbers side with PBF. The villain gets more people to buy. But I think this fight should be 45/45 and 10 to the winner.
