Prior to the closed eye, and with another referee that wouldn't allow Garcia's low blows and holding, the fight is very close. Plus, when is a fight with Matthysse bad?

Garcia has stated that he won't face Matthysse in a rematch so it's only wishful thinking on my part. Hopefully, we'll see him in with Broner/Alexander/Thurman etc. instead.

I actually agree that injuries shouldn't be excuses. A win is a win. However, it doesn't mean that there shouldn't be a rematch. If Garcia beat Matthysse with ease, why would he be opposed to another big pay day to face him again?
