Something tells me there was more to it but it had to happen. Permanent? There has to be accountability and glad a judges record follows them because we damn sure know a fighters does.

Thumbs down Re: CJ Ross Is Stepping Down

I didn't think the fight was a one-sided blowout as some of you fellas seem to think.
The 1st 6 rds were quite competitive. Floyd took control in the 7th and maintained it, and clearly won the fight.
Maybe I'll score it. If I do, I'll post it.

Anyway, I think this judge Cynthia J. Ross of Nevada left her professionalism at the door and decided she would teach Floyd a lesson about beating women. Floyd, who also resides in Nevada, has been a regular fixture in the Nevada news for over 12 years with many charges for beating at least 6 different women.
I think she was taking every opportunity to get back at him, by trying to take away his undefeated record. Knowing this black man was getting paid 41.5 million may have also had something to do with this white woman scoring that fight as a draw. I mean, this wench gave Alvarez 4 of the last 5 rds?! That's absolutely ridiculous.

Anyway, her past is littered with horrific scorecards. A disgrace to the sport OR maybe that's affirmative action in action.
Whatever the case, she has no clue how to score a fight.

I don't think she's inept because she's a woman, I think she's just plain inept. Doubt her sex has anything to do with it.

Fuck any one that says it wasn't a one sided fight!!

It was one of the most one sided non-knock out fights you will ever see.

I gave Canelo a round, and I felt that was generous, you could give him 3 at best and they'd all be generous.

If you disagree with me on this, you are wrong.

I'm not Mayweathers biggest fan, I've always been critical, but I do like Canelo a lot more than Floyd.

And even with my hope that Canelo would win, and with my MASSIVELY biased and one sided nature as I sat down to watch, I had it 119-109 to Mayweather.

Ross stepping down is a great move for the sport of boxing.

But it was more than likely a case of "step down, or be fired."

Maybe she hates it when married, bible-toting family men bang countless other women on the side...

Maybe she hates it when guys take part in blood-sports like cock-fighting.

Maybe she doesn't support gambling and drinking vices...

Or maybe she really just can't score a fight in competent manner.

It could be, it could be...

I was thinking the same thing. lol Personally, I don't care why she is gone, the only thing that mattered to me is the lady was not reliable as a boxing judge. She might be the nicest person you could ever meet, but she can't judge a fight.

Mission accomplished! An unreliable boxing judge is gone, for retraining, discipline or whatever. I'm pleased.

Like any job you do, if you do it badly continually you will get fired. CJ Ross simply did a poor job, whether she quit voluntarily or was pushed is irrelevant, the fact is she is gone and that for once is the correct decision.

Anybody who thinks Canelo was even remotely competitive in this fight is completely lacking in any boxing knowledge and requires immediate psychiatric treatment. Mistakes are always forgivable, if one has the courage to admit them.

It was plainly evident by the end of 3 rounds that Canelo was not going to score a knockout blow or land any significant blow that might change the course of this fight.
He looked out of his depth and completely over awed by Floyd, he was in survival mode from the 3rd round onward. If you count hitting air then Canelo wins easily, it's obvious CJ Ross counts hitting air!

It was a one sided near shut out fight. There is no controversy, will be no rematch, Canelo will fight on, he just won't fight Floyd again and i reckon he will be very happy about that.
