I really doubt that he will retire i mean Oscar said he wasnt gonna fight past 30 and Bernard Hopkins said he was finished numerous times.

    Hahaha Floyd makes me laugh.
Already working the hype machine for his "comeback" fight. I knew Floyd was a business man.
Undefeated guys in their prime just don't retire.
What's he gonna do when he sees guys like Cotto and Hatton starting to take all the spotlight which he knows should be his?
He's not gonna be able to stand not being the man.

I just read the article and the thing that made me laugh is Floyd saying he "wants to be normal". He doesnt want to be some normal guy that nobody cares about he wants to be in the limelight and be known as the P4P best and go down as an all-time great. If he retires people will be calling him out and he will have to come back because of his ego.

Floyd saying this his his last fight is just trying to get more $$ in PPV sales.

Although I'm rooting for Floyd (but predicting Oscar), it pisses me off to hear him say that. Why the f*ck would Floyd retire after this fight? In MY mind, he's still on the upswing, with more big fights out there, before he can consider himself an all-time great. What about Cotto? What about Margarito? What about a handful of other fighters Floyd hasn't stepped into the ring with yet? Too much of that sh*t going on nowadays. You get a good record.... fight two or three great fights..... and call it a career. It's this "instant gratification" sh*t. In the old days, it took more than that. You had to EARN the all-time great title. Although I don't like Oscar and have never been a fan, I respect his right to call it quits more than Floyd's. Oscar HAS had a full career, and has definitely seen his better days. Floyd talking about retiring is insulting to this boxing fan.
