Anybody have experience with Rottweilers?

They are great animals. They are not inherently vicious but can be made so just like any other dog. My rottweiler was the sweetest dog with kids and would guard my nieces and nephews like they were his children. I had my dog for 13 years and I NEVER had an incident with him attacking unprovoked. I will warn you to be prepared to have your heart broken because when my dog passed I cried like a baby. Rottweilers are my favorite breed of dog.

I spent 3 years or so around a sweetheart of a rottweiler. She was my cousin's dog and was full grown when we became neighbors. Great around kids and very protective. One of the local lowlifes hit her with a stick and thereafter, whenever he walked by she'd lose her mind.
