This a great fight, not a mismatch this is what boxing need's?and I do hope it happen's
But I will go for Canelo, as I feel he is the naturally bigger fighter and Cotto has taken
a bit to much stick.?

if I were Cotto I would move to 147. If he can make that weight he wouldn't be dealing with bigger guys in every fight. He didn't seem to move up out of necessity as his last fight there was 145 pound weigh in versus Pac.

IF he doesn't move down, a Canelo fight does make sense. It is Mexico vs Puerto Rico. It is a PPV. Cotto could tell Canelo to come to NY and fight in the Garden. It would be a very big night. And it would be a tough fight for either guy. Cotto would be dealing with a young up and comer who is naturally a little bigger. Canelo wouldn't be fighting a B or C level fighter.

I sure as hell would tell Arum to fuck off if I am Cotto. Arum wants Cotto vs Chavez Jr in MSG!!!! Cotto-small looking guy at 154 is supposed to move up and face a guy who is ballooning up to 180 pounds when he is actually in the ring. Makes no sense. Fighting a guy who will outweigh you by an easy 12-15 pounds when you get in the ring. And If Cotto were to beat the much bigger guy he won't get alot of credit, because then everyone will say Chavez Jr. was completely exposed and had been a fraud.

So if I'm Cotto I move back down to 147 to avoid bigger guys and if I stay at 154 I go for the Canelo clash as it is the biggest fight there.

Floyd would end Cottos career lol.. and well Manny, why on earth would you like to see that again? As far as Canelo goes, I think it would be a great fight but I think Canelo would stop him but wouldn't be surprised if Cotto outboxed him for the win. It can go either way but if Canelo tags him Cotto is going down.

I very like Canelo but I think that he's 3-4 fights away from fighting the likes of Cotto, i'd give him a bit more experience against top guy first (and topguys slightly inferior to Cotto in term of Quality, that is).

i think that itll be a very intersting fight, i do give it to cotto, especially the cotto i saw last night, i think if the cotto of last night fights a pacqiou of last month itll actually be a toss up, and i disagree about cottos chin, i actually think he can take a pretty good shot

Cotto definetly needs to go back to 147 to fight mayweather or pacquiao it makes perfect sense. He would definetly give either a hell of a fight and maybe win vs pacqiao now. But vs mayweather I give it like a 40% chance which still makes a very close fight. People have to remember that Cotto's 3 fights after margarito he didn't even have a trainer that includes clottey and pacquiao so it's way diffrent this time around. I believe Cotto is on the rise again.

Incorrect. Canelo has fought many fights at 150. Cotto is a small junior middleweight and Canelo isn't a big one. I believe this is a perfect fight for Canelo and Cotto. For Canelo, because a win over Cotto would propel him into the class of A-side ppv type fighters. For Cotto, because he only fights for money these days rather than true challenges, like Martinez, and Canelo is a big money name. Right now, I favor Cotto.
