Default Marquez moves up to Number 2 On Ring's P4P Rankings.

    http://www.thering-online.com/ringpages/ratings2.html

Does he belong at number 2 ?

Personally i feel him going up was a good move.

Marquez's TKO win over 37 year old Casamayor >>>>>Calzaghe's close SD win over 43 year Hopkins.

You could argue that Casamayor was on the downslide as he won a very questionable decision over Cruz and was almost beat by Katsidis while Hopkins had just had two wins over top fighters Tarver and Wright who were in the P4P rankings but Marquez's performance against Casamayor was a better performance than what calzaghe put on against Hopkins. Plus Marquez is the first man to stop Casamayor.

He moves up one spot on Fenster's list as well. Second to first by way of Joan Guzman getting booted out for inactivity and unprofessionalism.

    1. Marquez
    2. Pac
    3. Calzaghe

    Fact.
    3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.

It's tough... I think Calzaghe and Marquez both have a bid for it.

IMHO I think Marquez has fought the more timely opposition then Joe C. Not to take anything away from Calzaghe... Just the way I feel. So yes.

I also think Marquez should be number 1 because i think he beat Pacquiao twice but i also think Calzaghe shouldn't be 3 because i had him just losing the Hopkins fight.

I think Hopkins is a P4P better fighter than Casamayor even now but I'd still say JMM is P4P better than Joe.

Compare this to Joe C's opp in the past 4 years. But Joe C also didn't lose to his lesser opposition where Marquez did a few times(not to lesser opp)... some VERY arguably

Hopkins had two wins over winky and Tarver who were ranked in the top 10 p4p list when he beat them, and he lost a close SD against the number 2 ranked fighter in the world Calzaghe.Pavlik holds 2 wins over a fighter ranked in the top 10 p4p list and that was surprise surprise Jermain Taylor. If i'm correct taylors rating was 6 or 7. No way does Pavlik belong in front of hopkins. He will deserve to be in front if he wins in October.
