Where did Turpin beat Robinson? I'm pretty sure it was in England right? But for some reason I'm thinking it was at Yankee Stadium? Very confused. I know Robinson left his legs in Paris or something to that extent, but I don't know if he came home or went to England? Either way that is the biggest win of a brit over a yank ever imo.

Definitely had them twisted. Polo Grounds, old NY Giants played there, classic stuff wish I was alive for that era. CC. I guess I'm off to pondering this question. Very hard for an american who knows little about American boxing mind you.

Kid Chocolate was 90 and 0 plus p for p at the time thought unbeatable ,at the time it caused a massif shock I believe it was at the old Yankee stadium which was packed. Berg was a lot like Pryor non stop, with a low heart rate good fighter. Ray Arcel loved him saved his life once, I think he was having it off with a top gangsters woman and Ray got him out of it.

I'd say you are probably right Scrap. Unfortunately though most of us on here were born in the 20th century and weren't around to witness the invention of the lightbulb, the spinning jenny and first combustion engine like your good self
