Default Khan leaves Warren, Vacates Title, Malignaggi next ....

According to The Independent, and a little whisper I have had confirmed, Khan has left Warren, signed for GBP, vacates the belt and has Paulie Malignaggi in the Spring. Alot of people saw this coming on here, well now it seems like it is confirmed.

Oh Amir, Paper Champion anyone ?

If this is true then I hope Khan does not turn in to a stuck up knob head the way Hamed did at the end of his carrer.

I may be in a minority but I cant help feeling a bit sorry for Frank Warren who has done a very good job bring Khan to a world title.

Given that Warren didn't dismiss it i'm thinking this has definately happened.

Just when I was beginning to become an Amir fan but now I know why most posters here slag off on him. Not fighting Maidana? pfft.

So when does Frank Warren start calling him a chinny glass jaw bum?

Paulie is more than a decent opponent indeed. However, the sad thing is that Khan dodged a hard hitter opponent, which is something everybody would like to see... As for Warren, I couldn't care less, Khan wants some more visibility in the US and I guess that it's why he signed to the goldenclub.

There is no confirmation he has vacated his title, if he does he is a joke, Maidana is a golden boy fighter would be so easy to make the fight. But they obviously dont want to risk the chin.

It wont bother Frank Warren too much as he still has great prosspects as of Kevin Mitchell,Kel Brook etc.Kel Brook is a really good prosspect!

Very true. But some of the stuff Frank has pulled over the years that I know about would make you think totally different. What goes around comes around. It's no coincidence that all these fighters have left Frank for undisclosed reasons. Ask Terry Marsh as another extreme example.

I think Roach will get his wish though Skel. Amir will listen to the almighty Freddie and probably his own instincts in relation to this fight.

I disagree there Yvonne, Frank will be livid. Another Golden Goose flys the nest. He will be devastated.

Franky will be fuming, these prospects are exactly that, he has no bread winners now and his revenue will have taken a big dive after Khan leaving him. This is the first time in a while Franky doesnt really have a huge fighter in his stable, when I say huge I mean money making/ world rated fighter.

Gonna take a good few years for the likes of Cleverly/Brook/Gavin/De Gale to start making noise at world level that's if they ever do.

I think if Brook and Cleverly are ever going to be ready then they are ready now. I think they can both at least be solid world champs. Brook can maybe go even further.

But other than that i agree with your comments.

Khan leaving Warren is good, vacating and fighting Malignaggi tosser.

Anything that is bad for Warren is good to the rest of us. But Khan is a joke if he avoids the number 1 contender and fights a powder puff puncher in malinaggi.
