Default Sam Peter vs. Rocky Marciano.

    Who would win?

I say the bigger, stronger Peter stops Marciano.

Styles make fights and different eras/diet/nutrition which means the fat ass Peter would be too big for Rocky which takes nothing away from the Rock who was a supreme champion.

How's Marciano gonna whup someone who outweighs him by 60 pounds, is stronger, and hits harder than him?

Willard outweighed Dempsey by 58 pounds...how'd that fight end?

Nicolay Valuev outweighed Ruslan Chagaev by 91 pounds and David Haye by 102 pounds....how'd those fights go?

As for hitting harder A) That's subjective and B ) it doesn't matter it's the sport of BOXING not a "Who hits hardest" competition

Come on, Haye and Chag can box and move. Rocky fights one way so would probably lose.

Sam does not need speed he just has the size.

Fucking Sam Peter. He just lost this past weekend. He proved to be a big disappointment for me and a real punching behind the head bastard too.

I don't defend Marciano much on here, but I will against Sam Peter.
I don't care how much Marciano is outweighed.
Peter doesn't have the "inner stuff" it takes to hang with Marciano.
..... and Lyle already cited cases of much smaller HW's beating the larger man.

I say Rocky bangs on him like a big pinata and gets him out of there in the later rounds.

It's true Samuel Peter is much bigger and stronger than Rocky was, but as we in know in boxing size and strength isn't everything.

I envision the shorter Rocky parrying and ducking the jab and big right hand, and digging the body on the inside.

Perhaps Sam would land something meaningful in the early rounds, maybe even score a knockdown or two, but IMO Rocky batters him and wears him down.

I think Rocky would struggle against a skilled big man, like a Lennox Lewis, but against a big mamaluke like Peter it's hard to imagine him losing. Peter lost to Toney and got a gift FFS

We saw Sam quit on his stool against Vitali. He doesn't have the heart to tango with Rocky!

60+ pounds, damn, Marciano would need to weigh in like 190-195 for that fight.

Took Marciano with a fever/flu 9 rounds to thrash Don Cockell who was 25 pounds heavier.

Hmmmmm...... I say Rock knocks his block off late like Round 10.

Rocky would tire hitting those huge arms and shoulders of Peter.

Nah, Sam Peter who beat Toney the second time around would KO Marciano. Marciano could punch but he was a CW and CW's get stopped by big HW's or they go the distance on rubbery legs.
