Yeah well, we'll have to see who he is warming up against.
Speaking about awol wheres the White Ghost gone to anyway?
He's completely done. I don't see him making any noise at 160. If he's lucky, Martinez will take him as a somewhat high-profile gimme opponent.
And I say this as a huge fan of Winky.
I dont know if he all done or not? He is one hell of solid opponent never to be underestimated.
Winky was one of the most under the radar talented guys the sports ever seen when he was on the rise. But fighting once every 1-2 yrs at this age, style and assumed 165-178 lbs cant bode well
I can't say I am excited. Another old timer coming back for the sake of coming back.
Didn't work well two years ago, not sure it will work well now. Would probably beat a pick 'em first opponent back though.
You know the Booze is pumped!

I think people assume that Wright is done based on horrible outings with Hopkins and Williams. However we must remember that is the speciality of both Opponents.
Given his defensive style and experience I think he can return for a few succesful fights, though it would be a travesty to see him fight anywhere above 160.
Why do these fighters piss away there best years and still expect to come back better.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Fat Dan says Macklin is being lined up for Winky, who would you rather see Winky v Macklin or Macklin v Barker?
Thats possible, but you'd be surprised how little that will affect Winky.
Miles offered a parallel with Sugar Shane, but there is one very important difference. Shane is a "physical" fighter. He relies on his speed and strength combined with timing. Winky is a "technical" fighter, his game relies on a boxing system of defence. Physical fighters are far more susceptible to ring rust than technical fighters. Technical fighters can also readjust to fighting form quicker than guys who rely on their physical prowess.
