Default Victor Ortiz-Luis Collazo fight week on FSN

Sarah Knight To Make Pro Debut on March 1 at York Hall - Boxing News

I dont know about you guys but im hella excited for this fight. I know Ortiz is weird and all but ive always liked his fan friendly style since the first time I saw him a prospect.

I think he's one of the boxers who get hated on unfairly and the fact that he's labeled as
a quitter is unjustified.. he was putting it on maidana's simple ass unlike nobody has done before prior to the quit job.. he was young and the pressure was too much to handle... shit happens..

He came back to beat some decent guys including lamont peterson.. fight was close but he doesnt get enough credit considering how he wasnt at his best, mentally..

He came in as the underdog against berto and I dont remember too many guys actually picking him for upset.. he definitely redeemed himself in that fight.

He was fucking Lopez up until he got caught by a lucky hayemaker and suffered a freak accident.. that fight irritates me the most especially when guys call him a quitter.. do you guys realize how dangerous it is to fight with a broken jaw? One can fuckin die and shit. Im no doctor but I do understand the severity of such injury.. I call it retirement, saving yourself to fight another day rather than marching on and falling into a coma or worse..

Ortiz is a very talented fighter .. even in the fights where he lost, he was getting the better of his opponents so u know it's all in his head. He puts his tools and mind together and he can make some noise at 154..

Thanks for pointing this out. I'm an Ortiz fan. He's actually one of the guys who got me hooked on boxing. I'm hoping he gets his doo doo together and has a resurgence.

Video: Victor Ortiz-Luis Collazo Final Press Conference - Boxing News

Collazo looks shopworn.. ortiz better bite down and do what he's supposed to do..

Gbp isnt babying him that's for sure. Bob arum would have never put him in with collazo after a long layoff..

Collazo looked sharp in his last fight, accurate. Its a good fight here. Ortiz will try to blitz him but a guy like Luis is fully expecting that. Picking Collazo to survive the storm, maybe a cut, and help Ortiz run into counters for a comeback loss. No way in Hell a young fan friendly all action guy like Ortiz should be taking all that time off after the way he lost unless he is rethinking his profession. Fun fight.

This is a mighty fine matchup and I have no complaints whatsoever. None. Zero. 0. Zip. Ortiz has taken too much time off and I find him strange and goofy as he smiles after he loses and quirky things like that. Not that I am entirely against quirky as evidenced by my support of Collazo and his rather unusual all over patterned birth marks. I hope Collazo can weather the opening 4 and then put his southpaw print all over the bout as Ortiz starts to get a bit predictable.

I have a lot of respect for everyone who fights professionally. Most fighters know when they've had enough and I respect their judgement.
A broken jaw is as good a reason as any to quit, in my opinion, so I don't count Ortiz as a quitter. A long layoff after a broken jaw sounds like intelligent caution to me not career changing self examination.
I think Ortiz should have an easy nite with Collazo. Everybody has an opinion but fight nite will tell us the truth.
I'm not a big Ortiz fan, I just want to see a good fight.

I think at this stage both guys match-up well Collazo will be savvy early but Ortiz will have the power to equalize. I see a close competitive fight Ortiz wins it down the stretch
