Trinidad's 2-fisted attack would have given him the edge. I saw many of Terry Norris's fights:
2 with Simon Brown
Sugar Ray Leonard
Julian Jackson
Meldrick Taylor
Maurice Blocker
Norris was an awesome athlete but he was also a hothead who could not always control his emotions in the ring. Occasionally he had defensive lapses too such as in the 1st Simon Brown fight and his earlier fight with Julian Jackson. Trinidad didn't have a great chin, but he almost always got up from being decked. Trinidad had more raw punching power too. I would go with Trinidad by knockout.
i think Trinidad would have overwhelmed Norris and would have been able to stop him pretty early, Tito's chin wasn't too bad as much as his balance, he usually was never really hurt, and would get up quickly because of that.
One word= Tito!
Very interesting fight.
Norris was very fast and had pretty good power, if he could fight a smart, disciplined fight he could beat Tito, he had the power and speed to hurt Tito IMO. But Norris a lot of times wasn't very disciplined and would lose his temper and fight too much and he didn't have the chin to take many clean punches from Tito. Interesting fight
difficult one to call. both prone to knockdowns. the heavy fisted trinidad edges it for me. i also think out of the 2 of em trinidad would get up if knocked down
Terry would fight smart at first but get sloppy and drawn into a slugfest by round 6 and KO'd in the 8th

Tito did not move up too 154 until 2000, by then Norris was at the end of his career, when Norris was in his prime Tito was way to thin to move up to 154, this fight should not have happened
If we are talking both in there peak then Tito wins. Norris had the boxing skills to out box Tito, but Norris easily got lured into a brawl and with his suspect chin and Tito's power it doesn't look good for Norris. I think Norris puts Tito down early but loses by TKO in about 7.
Norris either gets knocked out early like in the first Simon Brown fight or he shuts out and toys with Trinidad for 12 rounds like he did in the second fight. I'll go with the second outcome.
Tito would have been all wrong for ALWAYS vulnerable Norris. In prime a long lean and relenting puncher..with both hands....like Tito would really get through Norris Defense and offense.Way to fast for Norris and though he could get clipped, trinidad would bounce back up and time an on rushing Norris.
I liked Norris through out his career.Always very exciting and one of the true warriors of 90's.You never knew what to except as his fist and fragile jaw combined for a surreal combo. He always struck me as "rigid" (legs) and would sell out his defense for his offense most of time. Tito around the 8th via tko in a great fight.
Tito wins by KO/TKO. Tito looked great at 154, I believe this probably was his optimal weight. For anyone to beat Ttito at 154 was going to be a hard task. He had what is probably the best fight of all times at 154 when he beat Vargas. This was a classical fight!!
Puerto Rico, Small Island, Big Champions!!!
I agree with you guys, Terry was good but one good shot from Tito & Terry would have hit the canvas.
Vargas at 154 cannot even be mentioned in the same sentence as Norris. At 154 Trinidad never faced power like Norris. Trinidad probably would win if it went into a war but if Norris boxed as he did in the Simon Brown rematch he would easily outpoint him.Originally Posted by Puerto Rican Punch
well actually lets not bash Vargas, cause i've said it time and time again, if Vargas wouldn't have been rushed into Tito at such an early time in his career his career would have been, would be, completely different right now, i honestly think that if he would have taken on Trinidad later in his career he would have beaten him, same goes against Oscar, he could have been something special at 154, but due to bad managing and handling he was rushed to the finish line of his career
