Before Ricky got sparked there was a handful of Witter supporters on here. Even less of that handful were critical of Hatton for NOT facing Witter.

Now everyman and his dog is on Ricky's case for not fighting Witter.

Where did all you Witter fans come from?

I think Witter has proven he deserves a shot, him and Hatton are both country man and are in the same weight class. Seems pretty academic if you ask me. Why would there be a hold up? If Rick stays at 140,who is a bigger fight Malignaggi? Witter is the #2 ranked Junior Welter in the world.

I am a Witter fan and i think this fight should have happened in 2000 or 2001 Warren promised this fight would happen when it did'nt i thought Warren was looking after his investment Hatton.But now Hatton and Warren have split and Hatton does'nt want the fight it looks to me like it was always Hatton who did'nt want it.

Yes i think Witter is a total c.ock but it is starting to look like Ricky is making excuses to me also.

I'm not a Witter fan ( I think a fight between him and Malignaggi might be one of the worst of all time) but the guy is the WBC champ, the recognised number one contender to Hatton at 140 and he lives 50 miles up the road.

Hatton has claimed he's the best at 140 and only wants big fights yet he's clearly avoiding a fight for the most prestigious belt against a local rival. At some point the excuses just wore a bit thin for me.

And it wouldn't be a worse fight to watch than most of the other options Hatton has now. Witter would do his counterpunching thing and it wouldn't be an all-out war like we like to see Hatton in, but then again you probably have to go back to the Tszyu fight for a Hatton performance like that.

I think it has more to do with the perception of what's going on....it APPEARS that hatton is doing everything he can not to fight witter, so naturally he gonna loose the support of some people.

The point is, Hatton has been making every excuse in the book (some justified) to avoid Witter for a long long time.

Just a couple of weeks ago seemed like the majority on here were all screaming for Hatton to fight Powderpuff.. I was arguing Witter's worthiness - why he qualifies above all others to face Hatton. Now the majority are all on Hatton needs to face Witter.

Seems as though Witter has gone from being a boring unworthy cunt that no-one knows to top priority in a short period of time.

I've always said Witter would give Hatton trouble to be fair, Fenster. Also always fancied him to win that fight. It is the only fight that makes sense to me after Hatton has a little confidence booster.

Said it perfectly. I'm no fan of Witter,I just found Hatton's point blank,I'm never fighting Witter because he is badmouthing me statement foolish and hypocritical.
