Tonight at the gym one of my guys learned that this fight is happening. He said "what are they going to call it? Black on black crime?"
That just cracked me up.

It is a pathetic fight and Floyd has to justify it on video by saying he does not want to end up like his uncle. That says it all.
TBE my ass!
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Good point, and there's no way to defend this. The only potential argument anybody will have is when they say "B....Bu.....Bu... Pac never said he was TBE, so that makes his selection of opponents okay."
It doesn't. Any fighter walking in the ring thinking he's beatable by anybody is already at a disadvantage.
You'll either see the TBE argument regarding opponent selection, personal attacks, or people just completely avoiding Pacs opponent selection altogether.
I just dont have the same issues with this fight as the rather large majority does. I actually think its a little careless. The guy can fight whoever he wants imo after 18 years and what he's accomplished. Had he already lost people would not have any issues with it anymore then they did for Lopez's last couple of fights.
My view is that Berto's torque, speed and unorthodox movement and delivery could cause Floyd some issues. Floyds made a living these last 5 or so years against the same style. Even in Manny's case, the guy is predicable and does the same thing over and over and over again. Floyd would have toyed with that style 5 years ago. Berto is an odd duck with no pressure at all. The closer this fight gets the more Marciano's name etc etc will appear. Floyds also got uncle Roger on his plate. Nobody thought Douglas had a shot at Tyson which btw was another PPV event scoffed at.
I believe its going to be a much better fight then most think my friend.
It's going to be a much better fight than Pacquiao vs Mayweather.
This is the least interested I've been in an upcoming Mayweather fight in long, long time. Probably dating back to 2005.
I was actually thinking the same thing. Not that I give Berto any real chance to win outside of landing a perfect punch somewhere along the line, but I think he's probably more dangerous than people give him credit for. Berto is very athletic and very explosive. If you compare the risk of the fight (as small as it may be) to the credit that Floyd's going to get for winning (virtually none), it's probably a shitty fight to take. The only plus side for Floyd is the money, and I really don't know how this PPV is going to sell after so many left Pac/Mayweather disappointed.
