im not sure but jermain taylor looks much bigger than calzaghe
blergh you only rate Zab because you're from New Jersey... :P
(long time no see cc )
im from NY, but i think NJ is the only state in which you are safe from getting robbed thanks to larry hazzard, NY pulls shady shit, and some of the officials piss me off, i like merchante thoughOriginally Posted by AdamGB
i wanted to go to AC and cop a bottle of kalashnikov and blow masive ammounts of currency on roulette and then go to a fight but i see no fights in AC or anywhere in jersey scheduled anytime next month
ill either have to wait till november for the klitschko fight, which id rather watch on TV if there isnt a good untelevised undercard, or wait untill december for the cotto margarito double header
you guys are so tight on calzaghe. Even though he batters ppl, you still say he is overated. FOR GOODNESS SAKE HE IS ARGUABLY THE BEST SUPER MIDDLE EVER!!!!!
you got that rightOriginally Posted by Lionheart Lacy
lets get technical...Originally Posted by Lionheart Lacy

Sugar Ray Robinson would KTFO him
i don't care how good robinson was, no welterweight is gonna come up to supermiddleweight and knock JC out lol
Joe and anyone else would have trouble with these guys (in their primes)
Roy Jones Jr.
James Toney
Tommy Hearns
Ray Leonard
Marvin Hagler
Chris Eubank
Nigel Benn
Jake LaMatta
Bernard Hopkins
Archie Moore
Gene Tunney
Harry Greb
Billy Conn
Bob Foster
Joey Maxim
Floyd Patterson
Now would Joe lose to all of them?.... probably not but he wouldn't win them all either.
I agree with Lyle...Joe would have issues with some of the names on his list...but this is about Taylor & I honestly think that Calzaghe would whoop his ass...but if he wants to win...he better be on English soil...that's all I'm sayin.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
I'm with Jermain he's good enough and strong enough to fight at lightheavy....he's young and he's only going to get better too
Back on thread:
Calzaghe is waaay to busy for Jermain Taylor AKA Mr Chess.
Calzaghe is very strong too and JT wouldn't hustle him - i reckon JT's eyes would be shut by the 12th round before Joe got a points nod.
JT can jab...Jeff Lacy couldn't
JT can move Lacy couldn't
JT has more than just power
JT fights at a pace that he is comfortable and as we saw Hatton vs Collazo, pressure fighters aren't ALWAYS able to push the pace
Sorry lyle mate i just dont really rate him.
I thought style wise it was awkward with B-Hop (who didnt seem at ease with that fight)
Is it because he has zero Charisma?? i will try to like him (honest!)
-so did Eubank and Lacy.Originally Posted by TheSilverBoy
