If Joe Frazier found a way to hit Wlad on his chin he's stay hit. For that reason I'd say Joe Frazier by KO
Excuse my spelling Hidden Content
Wlad used to be all offense back in the days and id be shocked if frazier got past the early rds..
Foreman beat him around the ring like a midget rag doll.. wlad has the size, power, and the speed to get the job done even faster..
Hard to argue with 15 consecutive Title defenses.
Wladimir Klitschko is The Man and has been the undisputed Heavyweight Champ for several years. Even if his style doesn't electrify the masses. Man deserves respect.
In the 1st half of his career (1996-2005), Wladimir suffered 12 knockdowns.
Somehow he wasn't psychologically destroyed by that, he didn't pack it in. Instead he rebuilt and developed his skills and continued to go into the ring.
In the 2nd half of his career (2006-2014), I don't think he's been knocked down.
I think the Sam Peter fight back in 2005, over 8½ years ago, is Wladimir's last knockdown. Has he been knocked down in the last 8½ years? I don't think so.
Anyway, I think Wladimir beats Smokin' Joe, closes his eyes up with jabs.
Joe definitely has a chance with that Philadelphia left hook, but I think his style is not the style to beat Wladimir.
Mike Tyson vs Pernell Whitaker?
LEnnox Lewis vs PRince Naseem?
Wladimir Klitschko vs Joe Frazier?
All have one thing in common. All great boxers on each side.
All would end in a crushing and absolute 1st round KO under any reasonable circumstances...
(Reasonable circumstances including but not limited to things like cardiac arrest and constantly running circles around the ring for 3 minutes without engaging.)
Seriously I think Wladimir could stand there and let Frazier load up and take any punch he could throw at him as if it was nothing, for Frazier, Wladimir has an iron chin.
Conversely I think Frazier would be cold canvas KO'd by the first clean straight right landed by Wlad which would come very quickly since Frazier was easier to hit than most standard heavy bags.

Joe Frazier wouldn't make it to the mid rounds. In his days, white boys didn't hit so hard, move so fast, and weigh in at 240 at 6'6''.
Going by Brads post 2006 Wlad became a complete fighter before that he was fragile. Joe destroys fragile Wlad.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Ha I would LOVE to see old Joe "destroy" Klitschko.
Fragile HA, bit of a stretch there.
Jean Marc Mormeck was a far FAR stronger and more dangerous opponent than Joe would ever pose!

Absolute nonsense.Seriously I think Wladimir could stand there and let Frazier load up and take any punch he could throw at him as if it was nothing, for Frazier, Wladimir has an iron chin.
If Joe landed his hook solid on Wladimir's chin, he'd knock him out.
If Joe landed the hook to Wladimir's body, he'd hurt him.
Wladimir never comes straight out of the gate all aggressive looking to knock over anybody. I don't think Wladimir throws his 1st right hand at all till about , oh, rds 7 or 8. It's all jabs for rd after rd after rd.Conversely I think Frazier would be cold canvas KO'd by the first clean straight right landed by Wlad which would come very quickly since Frazier was easier to hit than most standard heavy bags.
Joe's bobbing made him a very difficult target to hit, a perpetually moving target.
Ali said it was very difficult to land shots on Joe's head.
Wladimir has taken plenty of shots over the years from opponents triple more powerful than Joe. Over 65 fights I think Frazier would be something like the bottom 3 weakest opponent he has ever faced so I'm not so sure that Joe could really hurt him (?)
Sure Wlad doesn't come out aggressive but he will let the right go early if there is an opportunity.
Which leads to your last part which I had serious objections to. Ali DID hit Frazier often it's just that Ali could not handle a pressure fighter, could not keep them at reach his punch was so weak it did nothing to deter Frazier at all (the commentary says "Those pitty pat punches aren't doing much for anybody!" remember that?
But Frazier was flogged out by George Foreman, a very crude slugger, slow and wide! I think that concludes that Frazier, for all his bobbing technique, was little more than a punching bag!
Just look at him!

Smokin'Joe KO 5, i just watched Brewster connect with several left hooks that put Klitschko's lights out, now Joe Frazier possessed one of the best left hooks in boxing history. I see no problem with Joe connecting here.

1/ Wladimir Klitschko was diagnosed with very acute hyperglycaemia after that fight and was close to a coma. Kind of dampens the victory which is evident in the fact nothing was really made of Brewster after the fight.
2/ The rematched showed what really happens to Brewster.
3/ Brewster is both longer and massively heftier than Frazier, a hulking powerhouse by comparison therefore a poor conclusion.
4/ Despite the above, Wladimir punched the living shit out of Brewster the entire fight before he succumbed to his illness. The only reason he survived to capitalize on it at all was because Lamon had a terrific chin! Something Frazier definitely didn't.
5/ Frazier did not possess one of the best left hooks "in history" he possessed one of the best left hooks for his time! Morrison had a better left hook for certain. As did Tyson. Wladimir himself has a better left hook!
6/ You must be blind!
