Cotto would badly knockout Manny, KO around 4/5 rounds.
He also mentioned other names too. It's a possibility, but just that. I just cannot see Pac hanging at 147 TBH. He's just not big enough and there are guys there bigger than him and much more ripe than Oscar.
And of course, I'm still hoping Hatton knocks his block off!
I'm a fan of Pac's and will be rooting for him against Hatton. But... if he ever gets in the ring with Cotto, there's gonna be a lot sad Pac fan faces the morning after.
BTW, you mentioned this in one of your Cotto threads:
"Oh, by the way... some of Cotto's weaknesses we Cotto fans never mention:
1. He seems to have a stamina problem.
2. He has some problems solving power-punching southpaws.
3. He sometimes forgets his defense and gets tagged."
Did you realized that Cotto's perceived weaknesses are PAC's strengths?? (Although no. 3 is also a PAC weakness)
.
Will Miguel Cotto vs. Manny Pacquiao happen?
Is it long before we see Miguel Cotto and Manny Pacquiao in the same ring?
If last night at Madison Square Garden was any indication, it's a good bet we will see that fight. As Marcus Henry reported in Newsday today, immediately after he dispatched a game, but limited, Michael Jennings, Cotto said, to .. "the winner of Pacquiao-Hatton, I'm here!"
That sentiment was toned down a bit later at the official post-fight press conference. Cotto issued the standard, "it's up to Top Rank," when asked if he would fight Pac Man. Of course, Pacquiao first has to defeat Ricky Hatton on May 2 and Cotto will likely fill his normal June date at Madison Square Garden. Top Rank and Cotto generally fight at the Garden the same weekend as the Puerto Rican Day parade. The speculation is that Cotto will face Kermit Cintron on that card.
So that leaves both Pacquiao and Cotto with a November date to fill. Most people in the press section last night were betting they would fill that date together. Top Rank just happens to promote both fighters. So when Cotto says, "it's up to Top Rank," it sounds like a good bet.
I can't see how Cotto would beat Pacquiao to be honest, he's just too slow, and I think Pacquiao has the power to bust him up.
according to what? In fact cotto would still be undefeated had he not tried to do somethin he hadnt done his whole career which was hit and bounce away..he got tired in the margo fight thats the only reason he lost.
Pac is not 5'11, he doesn't throw 100s of punches...Cotto would murder him....Pac's win at 147 was a water down version of RJJ winning at HW...If roy would have tried to fight lennox or klitchko...do i really need to talk about that.....floyd,cotto,clottey,judah,berto,baldomir, shane, margo, williams, They would all beat pac at 147...hell ricky hatton fought at 140 his whole career and could really handle a true 147lber...pac win over oscar was smoke and mirrors...
"Sixty forty I kicks yo' ass, Sixty forty I tears yo' ass up" - Roy Jones
the only two fights that would make sense is Hatton ofcourse so PAC can get his 5th weight division championship and a rubbermatch with JMM to finally clear all the doubt if there is still any.
Well IF PAC stops both Hatton and Marquez, I guess that should warrant an eligibility to fight Cotto for a 6th weight div championship.

According to Cotto's fans, these are Cotto's (perceived?) weaknesses:
1. He seems to have a stamina problem.
2. He has some problems solving power-punching southpaws.
3. He sometimes forgets his defense and gets tagged.
Isn't it Cotto's perceived weaknesses are PAC's strengths?? (Although no. 3 is also a PAC weakness)
