    Colloquially, Filipinos may refer to themselves as Pinoy (feminine: Pinay), which is formed by taking the last four letters of Pilipino and adding the diminutive suffix -y. The word was coined by expatriate Filipino Americans during the 1920s and was later adopted by Filipinos in the Philippines.

    I'm a melting pot for everything beautiful in the world, the philippines is a part of me.

    Pinoy=filipino

    Example: "Ikaw ang pinoy." (You are Pinoy). You'll hear a lot of filipinos toss it around a lot when they find out that someone else is also of the same mix.
    If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

    He already knew that he was wandering how the word pinoy originated, i.e like why do the Aussies call us Brits Pommy's?

    pnoy is a slang in the phillipines, american pnoy heard it one day and started to say the term too. became popular like that.

    noypi is the newer term use now a days, but not as popular as the pnoy because noypi aren't use by american fillipinos as much.

    fino is american slang. Usually means a fillipino-latino, comes from latinos counting filipinos as latino not asians.

    flip is someone with fillipino blood even with just 1%, comes from the youth in america more often asian and black youths in ghettos.
