    Default Skeete v Singleton - 2/6/17 Boxnation

Bradley ‘Super’ Skeete makes the second defence of his British Welterweight Title against mandatory challenger Shayne Singleton at the Brentwood Centre on Friday 2nd June 2017.
Skeete, who banked the first notch of keeping the British Title outright in the same venue against John Thain back in November, has made it clear his short term goal is to bag the coveted Lord Lonsdale strap for keeps.

Now ranked #4 with the IBF and #5 with the WBO, a shot at World honours is surely just around the corner for Skeete should he continue to impress.
First things first, he must navigate past challenger Singleton who has just one career defeat on his record, a stoppage loss to Sam Eggington, the man Skeete dethroned to pick up the British last year.
The Penge supremo has put together seven wins in succession since a close decision went in favourite of Frankie Gavin back on November 2014’s huge ‘Bad Blood’ show. Since then, pundits and fans alike believe the classy Skeete has reached another level.
A former English Champion down at Lightweight, Singleton will be charged for the biggest opportunity of his soon to be 26 fight career.
Both men have exchanged words in the build-up which will only add to this intriguing main event, which is supported by the rematch between Lee Markham (17-3-1, 7 KOs) and Joe Mullender (9-2, 4 KOs) for the English Middleweight Title.
Also featuring on the undercard, young talents Harley Benn, Boy Jones Jr, Lewis Pettitt and Charlie Driscoll all appear.

    THE ENGLISH MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE

Local pride is on the line as Lee Markham and Joe Mullender go to battle once again in a much-anticipated rematch for the English Title.
After an enthralling 10 rounds at the The O2 in May 2016, Markham outpointed his Essex rival to lift the vacant belt. Now the pair meet again in what is set to be another all-action match-up.

Nigel Benns other son Harley is fighting on the card and so is "Boy Jones Jnr" (great name) who was in one of the fights of the year against Craig Poxton back in Feb - what a fight that was!

    Should be some decent action

I am a fan of Skeete who has a win over the next best thing in Sam Eggington.

Singleton loading his punches. The fight is slow and the crowd not excited about the fight. Too cagey.
