    Default Huge Japanese card announced!

We all knew there was a huge announcement due any day now from Ohashi Gym and earlier today saw that announcement with it being just as big and just as exciting as we'd all expected. When we say it's a "super card" we really aren't joking.

The biggest of the announced match ups involves super prospect Naoya Inoue (5-0, 4) who will, as recently rumoured, be fighting WBC Light Flyweight champion Adrian Hernandez (29-2-1, 18]. This will see Inoue attempting to set a Japanese national record for the fewest fights taken to win a world title.

Although Hernandez is a world champion, and recorded his 4th title defense this past weekend, there are some who view him as the weakest link at 108lbs. He's exciting though not exceptional and was involved in a really memorable loss to Pornsawan Porpramook and was dropped by Atsushi Kakutani last year which would make us think Inoue has a fantastic chance of claiming the world title here.

A victory for Inoue would see him beating the national record of 7 fights to become a world champion, a record currently held by Kazuto Ioka.

Whilst Inoue/Hernandez is by far the biggest announcement it wasn't the only world title announcement for the show. The other one saw Akira Yaegashi (19-3, 9), the WBC Flyweight champion, set to defend his title. From what we understand Yaegashi, defending his belt for the 3rd time, will be fighting against Odilon Zaleta (15-3, 8]. This far from a great fight but when you look at the main event this just makes the card a Japan v Mexico double header and lets be honest, that sort of national rivalry is usually interesting.

What's better about Yaegashi's fight is that it's set to not be the only Flyweight contest on the show. We are expecting Nicaraguan sensation Roman Gonzalez (37-0, 31) to be on the undercard with the intention of setting up a Gonzalez/Yaegashi fight later this year. Gonzalez's opponent has yet to be named but Yaegashi has promised that if they both win then that will be up next.

As well as the big announcements with the tiny guys there was also an announcement about the Japanese Featherweight title. This bout will see the unbeaten Yuki Ogata (19-0-1, 3) facing off against Satoshi Hosono (24-2-1, 18]. The belief is that Hosono will, if he wins, vacate the title relatively quickly to pursue a 3rd world title fight though looking past Ogata at this point is relatively dangerous considering his unbeaten record.

We believe that at Super Flyweight we will be seeing Ryo Matsumoto (9-0, 8] fighting against former world title challenger Hiroyuki Hisataka (22-11-1, 10) whilst Minimumweight prospect Takuma Inoue (1-0) will be fighting a world ranked opponent in just his second contest, though no one has yet been named as of yet.

This show, or at least the most notable parts of it, will shown on free to air station Fuji TV and takes place on April 6th at the Ota City Gymnasium.

I think I might just be a teeny bit excited by this one

Naoya Inoue-Adrian Hernandez is very good but the rest of the card is a little lacking

I give Inoue more respect than Loma who is facing Salido..

This is a great card really. INoue is a special talent and although Hernandez may be the weakest title holder at 108, he's an experienced fighter, a very good fighter who has been on a wreck lately.. Just last week he destroyed a Rican who sigificant size advantage over him.. Hernandez isn't fucking around man. He's been there and done that but still pretty much in his prime..

Naoya Inoue better be on his game that night...

I think Hasegawa-Martinez is on this card too?

Two of my favorite fighters are on this card so it couldn't get any better for me!

Nayoa Inoue is a better prospect than Loma but i bet alot of ya dont even pay attention to who he is.. smh Inoue is more of a natural..

Shinsuke Yamanaka needs to move up already cuz nobody at 118 can compete with him ..

Hmm your bias towards Asian fighters is ridiculous. People arent as interested in the very light guys so thats why a lot of the good asians dont get much attention. Loma is the a future top 5 P4P fighter aand maybe after he destroys Salido you will give him a bit of respect. He is one of the most naturally talented boxers ever

If Gonzalez-Yaegashi was on the card, not in separate bouts it would be fantastic

Remember the days when ITV use to show Galaxy, Moon, Chitalada and they were brilliant fighters. They should show these fighters.

I know what u mean about the little guys but strictly from a purist's POV, does your eyes tell you that Loma is so much better than Inoue?

I already do give Loma a lot of credit but I just dont feel like all that hype is warranted.
If Salido takes him jnto deep water, loma could be in trouble as it's a territory he's never been into as a pro.. it's totally different when you are under the bright lights with all that pressure.

To me Loma is an exceptional prospect but Inoue is the best prospect ive seen in the past 10 years...

Olympic final will hold just as much pressure as this. Potential POV Inoue is 20 and his technique is already flawless. But unfortunately hes too small to make waves. Will probably never get the rec he deserves

I get annoyed with ppl talking about Lomas hype and how its not deserved. Hes earned his hype. Hes probably the best amateur ever so he deserves to be hyped when coming into the pros.
