Default Are Khan and Chavez Jr the next big things?

Alot of people have not really shown alot of hype or interest for either of these fighters, but I believe they will meet sometime in 2010 for a mega matchup, I like Khan and after he is no longer green I think he will be a P4Per. It's time for the prospects to step up, they are the future.

Khan needs to work on his footwork (not that he has bad footwork) and maybe think twice about just rushing in and pummeling his man.

I doubt you'll see Khan using some kind of fool proof defence mechanism so i think Khan need sto learn to controll fighters as well as just knocking em out. His power is coming along nicely, it seems.
Like Chavez, he's developing quite a big frame.

I think Chavez looks a little more composed. More variety too.

If Khan stays at lightweight you can bet hes going to have a tough job in finding a title there. Juan Diaz will eventually get that WBC belt and then he will have them all. Khan-Diaz in about 4-5 years time would be awesome, but now Diaz would knock him out.

Im surprised Khan hasnt moved up and offered out Rees and try and nick a title there.

Chaves needs to fight some more oppostion, hes been sticking with not so good fighters and nearly got beat not that long ago. He has potential to do well but he should really be looking higher now.

If Juan Diaz moves up i can see Khan doing good things at Lightweight, as for Chavez Jr i would say no i don't see him being top 5 Welterweight's or beating any of the elite Welterweights.

I have to say Tam Seddon that makes complete sense.

He is always going on about being the youngest British champion ever blah blah blah. I to am suprised he hasn't tried to get a fight with Rees.

I would of thought Mr Calzaghe would probably prefer that fight over a load of others. However like someone else said frank warren has a thing for the WBO.

Most exciting prospect for me is Matt Skelton. It really would be something if he won a would title. LOL

I think Kahn is well on his way to being the next best thing.

Been less impressed with Chavez but i suppose i should bare in mind his lack of any amatuer experience.....so maybe he's stil about 1 year away from being tested near the top....best to jugge him a little bit later.

I think Berto should be added to this list.

Andre Berto is the most impressive of the talents ive seen. Ok his defence can be lackluster and open and he can make many mistakes....but at least theyre throwing him in with tough fighters who can crack which is testing him already and will ultimately make him learn quicker and a better fighter becuase of it. He has the speed, the power, the array of punches and obviously the determination to be a very good fighter....just needs to iron out a couple of flaws, which im sure he will, and he will be a force for sure. I do not think too much of Kahn right now becuase he seems to be fighting people who get KO'd after one hard punch and are scared of him.Im not saying Kahn doesnt have the talent, becuase he has tons of it, he just needs more tests against better opposition before hes a master talent many think him to be already. Chavez looks impressive from what ive seen aswell.

"Mighty" Kevin Mitchell is a great boxer. I expect great things from him.
I believe in his current state could beat Kahn.

I am sincerly scared to name any heavyweights that are the next big thing, they all end up being bust

    Mt Whitaker
    Dominic Guinn
    Micheal Grant
    Calvin Brock
    etc

    I believe Solis is next

It would be a good fight, but I just cant see Mitchell taking the pressure of Khan. He doesnt like come forward fighters like Khan. But he could catch him and end it. It would a good fight, close to call.

I agree but lets remember that Chavez jr. did not have an amateur career. Just straight to the pros which I can imagine it would be something challenging.

CC for that Chino I never knew that. Even so, I do expect him to up the pace a bit now. He has potential to do so. I feel he should just do it anyway and challenge a good fighter.. He has a good WBC ranking.
