We'll never get serious about soccer. I'm sure like half the population has no idea the World Cup is even going on right now.

That's OK - we are so thick that half our population slavishly follows this stupid football tournament, and the other half slavishly criticises the football tournament.

Now is the time for our governement to sneak out some bad news .......

my thoughts exactly take me for instance, I watch many sports yet for some reason I can not get into soccer.

we had an office pool regarding the world cup. Typically everyone jumps on any type of pool. Only four responded, me being one of them.

my problem with this sport is...now I know I am going to get burned for this.....is that the guys run back and forth and nobody scores like for 40 minutes! I frankly tune out and get bored

I want to follow this sports, everyone gets excited and our Brit brothers always kick somebody's arse

I want to kick somebody's arse over soccer, I really do. I will try to give it a chance since I got money riding on this tournament.

Thing is American Football may have more scores, but it just aint fluent like 'Soccer' We play non stop for 45 minutes without a break - that is excitement - not a 2 minute break and adverts after every play!!

I hear you Big H, I tried believe me I tried.....but it gets frustrating watch the ball advance to the goal only to have an errant kick or blocked kick for the next 89 minutes. then winning on penalty kicks also gets to me.

but I am trying...as a matter of fact I just kicked somebody arse right now, and I did it while sporting a British accent. it does feel good let me tell you
