Default Debate? A prime Whitaker Vs A prime Duran

How many times are we going to do these hypothetical fights, forever, there a shit load of fun. It just seemed to me that Pernell Whitaker could not be hit and I see Duran getting countered all night long with feather fisted shots, nevertheless they would score. Whitaker's jab on the otherhand would when him the fight. I don't know how boxrec could put Aaron Pryor over Whitaker, that's a damn shame.

I can't believe that people do not want to comment on this fight, it would be epic.

I think they put Pryor over most because of his all out style you had to Kill Pryor to beat him you werent going to hold him off with jabs....I pick a prime Duran over Whitaker...This is when he was at lightweight and MEAN

Both of them ended up fighting above their natural fighting weights, both are greats, but I just don't see Roberto hitting Pernell

I'd take Duran ny decision, the lightweight Duran was mean!!! Whitaker was a great defensive fighter but I think he would have lost to Duran, Armstrong & Benny Leonard @ lightweight.

Duran? He wouldn't have outboxed Whitaker at Lightweight and he wouldn't have been able to catch Whitaker at Welterweight. Duran had two stylistic primes, one as a boxer and one as a slugger, which Duran are we talking about here?

Duran wins by UD - a prime Duran was unbeatable!
