Thats very good that you want to learn to switch stances. That will definetly make you alot more versatile in a fight. I read in a book called, "Don't Eat the Marshmellows... yet!", that successful people are willing to do things that other people don't.

I guess you should just do a quick switch. Or you could possibly do a step-in punch. The step would definetly give some extra power, but make sure you are in a balanced.

its a high risk move, if you can master it like Hagler and just do it on occasion that’s cool, but I have seen lots of fighters kiss canvas right in the middle of switching up. so you make the call, but the top guys ( your opponents) will try and time that switch over and you could be looking up at the lights.. just my opinion . ask Scrap. see what he thinks !

Ive trained one or two fighters who switcthed, but for a reason. one had his arm broken 4 times by the screws in prison and had only 75% extension on the arm. But all his good work was left foot forward. Dnne properly its a great way for stopping the other guy working and to have a rest. But against a top fighter, there can be dangers as weve all seen. you make your choice and take your chance. It would take to long to go into the whys and wherefores, just to say the main problem are the eyes and reading of distance.
