    Default Rock Allen

I've never been able to catch one of his fights since he turned pro. I know there was alot of talk about him in the olympics (more so than Andre Ward), but how is he looking as a professional? From what I can see on boxrec.com the transition from amateur to pro has been smooth, but if anyone could verbally give me a heads up I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks

He was outstanding as an amateur, and he looks good so far as a pro but not great. He has some holes in his defence and his punches seemed a little wide in his last fight if i recall correctly but hes still a solid prospect

I like Allen, but he doesn't look like too solid as a pro, Andre Ward holds more promise IMO. Rock Allen has looked even paced, and underpower recently, especially when compared with Andre Ward, who looks like he could be a world champ, he's shown progress.

I saw him fight on a spanish HBO telecast. He fought some bum, and tried to take him out from the start. The bum never fell, and it made Allen look like he had no technique.

Hard to tell. From what I've seen he's looked good against guys who are paid money to show up and get knocked out. Who doesn't? I didn't see the fight where he looked bad. He looks reasonably strong, pretty fast, agressive, not that slick.
