eyes getting scraped

hey fellas. I've gotten scratched inside the eye a few times in sparring and it's been irritating. I've gotten perscription eye drops and the medicine takes care of me. The only problem is that I know this won't be the last time it happens. Usually, I do what's right and keep from sparring until I get better, but I don't want to delay any progress I've made. It only makes me think of what the pros go through on a daily basis. Now I'm not comparing myself to them, but should I do as they do and fight through most setbacks?

adam, I think its more my fault than my sparring partners'. I should be bringing my hands back to my face more consistently. Are eyes getting scared in boxing not as common as I think?

I've never had it happen, is it from their gloves hitting your eyes? Never had it happen to me during a copmetition, sparring in my gym or sparring in other clubs.

You shouldn't be getting hit in the eye, I agree But is it not because they aren't being carefull and catching you with the thumb/cuff of their glove?

Yeah i gotta agree with adam, its never happened to me and ive also never seen it happen. Its pretty rare.
Like Adam said maybe its a thumb thing.

keep them hands up and maybe u got problem with ur eyes if it keeps happening go to the doctors
