Sorry mate, but my immediate thought upon watching this video was.....that there's a u in the word "honour". And as for hopkins being the next HW champion, I think it'll be one step too far for him if he goes in the ring with Maskaev. In reality, he won't have the physical strength to compete. In his forties is not the time to start building extra power and muscle. And even if he tries dodging and runnig all night, eventually he will get cornered and Maskaev will have enough strength to dominate exchanges in the corner, and wear him down. I'm afraid, that as great as Hopkins was, and even with the weak HW division, I can't see anything but a Maskaev victory, a name on his record, and millions in his pocket.

People forget that Tarver was already way slower than he was in his first fight with Jones, and he had just lost alot of weight to fight Hopkins... I still say that a younger Tarver would beat the HOpkins who beat him that night, and that Hopkins who doesn't have amazingly fast footwork would get worked into a corner and be pounded by any decent heavyweight.

I completely agree, Hopkins has talked about making the fight happen... if he does, he will win!

Maybe you should learn how to put motion into your videos? would make them more exciting.
Anyways. Hopkins could go far if he came back heavyweight, theres not much to contend with him, but is it worth it to risk his excellent reputation to see him knocked down by some younger, fitter, yet not as good Russian.

I see Hopkins beating Maskaev but it won't make him heavyweight champion of the world only a belt holder.

Good call - for every Willard and Carnera there is a Dempsey or a Louis (or even a Bear)
