Good idea for a thread !! cc!
its far too hard and close for me to do an all time one but this is my one for right now!!
Also these arent particularly my favourites although some are in there by favouritism and opinion.. some are there because they are some of the best and not because i like them..

    Heavywieght.
Vlad Klit.. argueably just the best around right now..not a fan though.

James Toney.. You cannot argue that he is not among the best heavyweights today because his supreme skill has taken him from middleweight to heavyweight and he's still up with the best.. regardless of weight etc..

Chris Byrd.. This is more of a favouritism thing... Chris is a great fighter and although he hasnt fought for a while and suffered a loss at the hands of vlad once again i still favour him in this superfighter tourney if it ever happens..

Cruiser... im not a big fan of the division but here are the best/ my favourites..
    O'Niel Bell
    David Haye
    Enzo Mac

    Light heavy.
The man who's name you must not mention...Ant.....tar.....just because he has names on the rec, and theres not alot going on in this div..
Roy jones... I still highly favour him to beat clinton by ud to claim a last light heavyweight title.
Librado Andrade.. Yes i know he hasnt fought at light heavy yet, but i still think hes gona do big things when he steps up as i hear he cant make super middle anymore.. undefeated golden boy prospect.

    Supermiddle.
Joe calzaghe... He just has the titles.. And it looks to be an eventful year next year with jermaine stepping up and bernard hasnt ruled the fight out.. so make these fights joe!
Kessler.. Not seen to much of him but he has two titles and beat beyer with a good knockout.
Allan green.. a great prospect.. can really bang.. entertaining to watch.. he needs to touch up a few things and i think he can be great in the next year!

    Middle...
Jermaine taylor...His last few fights havnt been all that exciting , but still noone has managed to defeat the young champ.. no doubt he's game and a true champ taking on all comers.. plans to move up to super middle and challenge some great fighters up there!
Winky Wright..No doubt one of pound for pounds greatest.. I wouldnt bet on anyone beating him anytime soon...
Miranda... im not a fan but he was robbed and theres not anythin much going on here really..

    Light middle..
De La hoya... he'd be in the top in any division...
Mosely.. about the same as oscar.. just a great fighter..
Vargas... i think hes got a few more fights in him and has fought the toughest of tough competition...

    Welter..
Floyd.. for now.. we all know hes moving on and leaving a void..
Zab judah.. to make his return in the next year, skillwise he could definately fill the void.. he just needs to straiten up and be consistant.
Cotto.. i doubt he will be defeated so he is soon to be wba champ and i am definately interested in fights to come..

    Light welter.
Ricky hatton... its his division... soon to regain his ibf title.... some good fights coming
JlCastillo... just an amazing fighter and will do big things in the division... its between jlc and hatton for the divisions supremacy and theyr looking to have a fight anyway.. so thats good stuff..
Paulie Malignaggi!! A great fighter great heart... will grab a world title in the next year.. no doubt..

    Lightweight..
Juan Diaz.. Undefeated prospect.. needs to step up.. but very entertaining and good fighter none the less.
Joel casamayor... this is the guy that everybody has to beat to become the best in the division in all honesty...
Jesus Chavez... I jus like this guy .. a good fighter.. has a title, isnt afraid to fight the big names and take a risk.. shame about the circumstances of his last fight but he's looking to come back early next year..

    Super feather...
Pacman.. No question a great dominant figure in the division.. more great fight to come..
Barrera.. title holder great fighter.. we all know why..Hes great.
El terrible morales.. although suffered a few losses is still elite and is looking for his last fight in the next year.. a legend.

    Feather.
I am just gona say jmm... im not really impressed with many of the others in the division..
harrison shouldn't be a champ with his antics..
i like injin chi... a good solid fighter, comes to fight..
Nicky cook.. just because i want him to beat harrison..

Im not up to date with alot of the lower divisions but i'll give some honourable mentions..
    Rey Bautista..
    Jorce Arce..
    Ponce de leon
    Rafael marquez
    Israel Vasquez..
All great fighters with great careers and looking to make some big money and great fights next year..
especially like arce and boom boom bautista!!
    Peace

    Good thread.

But ..... I would put Ezzard Charles in the top 3 light heavies who ever lived. He owned Archie Moore and we all forget that he was really always a light heavy?

I also agree that Ray Robinson gets in as a welter rather than a middle - after all, to win the title 5 times, you have to lose it four!

Azumah Nelson gets into my superfeather list as Manny has not done enoug yet

Jimmy Wilde is definitely the best flyweight of all time

Damn I forgot all about Charles, had to edit that one and Nelson was a good call. I kind of drew a blank when I got to super feather.

I was about to say the same thing about the super feather rankings. Most have put morales, barerra and pacquiao without regarding those that fought in the past.

At superfeather I would definitely put Nelson on top. One can also talk about Sandy Sadler Alexis Arguello, Salvador Sanchez and Floyd Mayweather who also has fought at that weight.

I would have JCC either at Lightweight or Light Welterweight thats where he did his best work.

JC had 2 title fights at lightweight, they might have been two of his most impressive but it's still only 2.

No doubt but it still doesn't change the fact that he barely made a dent in the lightweight division when it was at a fairly weak point in history. When you compare that to career lightweights like Benny Leonard...I would rather just stick him in at 129 or 140.
