    Default Well done Audley.......but.

The jury is still out on Audley Harrison. He put on a good show tonight and went some way to repairing the damage that has been done over the past two years. He showed that when he has things his own way against a mediocre fighter whos heart isnt in it any more he can look good. The uppercuts that did for Williams were powerfull and well delivered, he left Williams a bloody mess with nowhere to go. This result will count for nothing if he doesnt go on and dish out the same kind of beating to fighters with a bit more ambition.

Ive been pretty scathing of Audley in the past and Im not alone. The thing is it was fully deserved and I thought it was a bit OTT of Audley sitting at ringside basically saying "see, I told you so". Yes he has taken a step foward and looked good doing so, but there is a long way to go. I've no doubt in Audley's technical boxing ability, only the names James Toney and Wladimir Klitschko spring to mind as being technically better, but as we know it isnt just about how skillfull you are. When Audley grinds out a win when his backs against the wall or pulls one out of the fire, then I'll begin to be convinced.

Well done Audley. Dont sit on this win, you've had a good result, make it the first of many

And I thought you were a mod coz of you're pretty face Memphis have a well earned CC, basically summed up what most British boxing fans will be thinking at the moment. Jim Rosenthal went a little overboard in his praise, but Audley did alright, but there is still a fair way to go for young Audley (note the lack of Fr at the start of his name).

I've never doubted his abilities even going back to his Commonwealth days.
His confidence must be sky high after this.
It's his chin that still bothers me

He still couldn't beat Guinn....that sums his career up! Never going to be good never going to be great never going to be champion....but unleash him on some crappy fighters and he looks like Lennox Lewis

ok he won this fight.......BUT!! lets not forget danny had a week to get ready for the fight, theres training to lose weight and get fit but you need specific training for a fight and it seems 1 week wasn't enough for danny........it also was unlucky danny cut so many times whitin the first 2 rounds he wouldn't have been allowed out for the 4th even if he didnt get stopped

    audley will now fight skelton

for danny it will take a good 8-9 months for those cuts to heal, he'll need a easy fight or 2 once he fights again so you can right him off untill early 2008...............i think he'll retire now, shame he goes out this way

You of all people should understand that an embarrasing loss doesnt HAVE to be the end.
