Default Who thinks there are too many undefeated fighters?

I think the fact that there are so many undefeated fighter today, just means that there aren't enough
    quality fights being made.

    What are your thoughts?
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

100% agreed. Just like there are too many titles. Virgil Hill told me " With so many bullshit titles and so many guys out there with bullshit records your doing something wrong if you hold one and are undefeated"...The occasional guy out there can be legit and hold an undefeated record and title...Guys like PBF and Joe C..But I have to agree there is an over abundance. All that says is these guys are spending more time chasing bullshit belts and avoiding each other than actually getting the work done the right way

This is true. Many undefeated fighters become naturall greedy and would only be willing to take a CHALLENGING fight if it's WELL WORTH with the pay cheque. Others are restricted due to the organization or promoter they are under. There are some figthers who are the exception...one that comes to mind is Jermaine Taylor. I'm not a big of his but the fact that he fought Hopkins 2x and Winky...that says quite a bit for a relatively young and undefeated fighter. I'm looking forward to what Cotto will be bring to the battle in 2007.

To get rid of 1 undefeated fight here is a fight and it fairly easy to make as well Calzaghe v Kessler.Even Taylor aswell when he steps up to SM.

Yeah,I agree,it does show the right fights are not being made linking it with marketability etc. Promotions may not want to take fights which are risky becuase they 0 means so much. If an average fans sees 20 wins,0losses,they think wow he must be good.

I don't know, I think they used to think that. Nowadays if a fighter I've not heard of comes along with a big undefeated record my first thought is well he obviously hasn't fought anybody, followed by he must be a European :P

LMAO!! Sven the ghost Ottke springs to mind. Na,seriously, you're a man of knowledge that's why now, when you see a guy undefeated, you question it but the average fan sees that,he'll think it means the fighter is good and therefore,go to see him. Promotional teams realise this and don't want to take too many risks with their fighters ergo the current situation with lots if undefeated fighters. Thats my take on it.

    Exactly!!!
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.
