Boxing can be magical when a skilled fighter beats up a bum.
But there is a trick to it. I have found some in my sprring sessions.
1. Snap back, you move ur body backwards to avoid a hit.
2. Bob/weave, preety easy to understand.
3. Slip, you just dodge the hit with the move of your head.
4. Sidestep, you move sideways to avoid a hit.
5. circle your opponant, also easy to understand.
6. Feinting to panic the fighter and get an opening.
7. Attacking in combinations.
8. Locking the opponants arm and attacking.
These are what I gathered from my experience in gym sparring and watching
ATG's. When you know the fighters STYLE then its simply science, not magical,
not superhuman i.e. force of nature.
Mike Tyson's early trick was to bob under the attacks and come up with his
fast combinations.
Naseem Hammed would use reflexes to avoid getting hit and pound them with
KO power punches from wither hand.
Muhammad Ali would dance around the ring and throw jabs and 1 2's.
Rocky Marciano would crouch to get in and start punching away.
What have you gathered about boxing SKILL from your experience?
