Good for Morales, I hope Morales wins. But I'm worried that if he wins he won't do the right thing and retire, I'm afraid he'll keep fighting and then end up as a stepping stone to a prospect who he would have wiped out in the past

Default Erik Morales-David Diaz officially set for August 4 in Chicago

Is this news? I hadn't heard about it, I'd heard they were thinking about it but didn't know it was official and was set to definitely happen.

Diaz is mediocre as hell but I still don't get this, Morales has taken way too many punches.

Yeah, this is one that just perplexes me kind of like Clottey - Corrales.

Diaz is mediocre but he gets better as the fight goes along and Morales is fading in a matter of rounds now. I would be surprised if Morales won, and even if he did it's not like it's some great victory for him, just a victory over a mediocre lightweight. He'll get a belt but that'll just push him to unify.

I wish Morales good luck for this, Ive always enjoyed watching him and always had a lot of respect for him but surely its about time for him to call it a day. Maybe he just wants to go out on a win and I hope he does.

same here buddy. always loved watchin morales and hope he does the buisness again. but i cant help but think that it might be time for erik to call it a day. however i supose there is no shame in getting beaten up by pacman as the geezer is fookin awesome and it doesnt go to say that morales still wouldnt be able to beat a lot of the other top guys. as long as he doesnt turn up like he did against friggin raheem.
