    Default Punching Bag

Does anybody know if they make punching bags that you can just train on using hand wraps and not have to wear the gloves

    You got it backwards monkey.

Handwraps would be enough for a speed bag or a double end bag. You really need some padding if you're hitting a heavy bag.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

The only problem I see from not wearing gloves is the heavybag. Your skin is exposed over your fingers, and the metacarpal bones in your hand are more vulnerable to breaking. I don't see a problem from not wearing gloves as long as you have the wraps on when working the lighter bags. The speed bag and double end bag would be okay in that regard.

I hit so hard that if I don't wear gloves I'll punch a hole in the bag. The glove spreads out the impact to reduce to psi on the bag...and your hand, not to mention cushion the blow.

Lol, when I go to hit, the bag goes and moves out of the way.

I actually took some stuffing out of my bag so it's softer. That way I can use a thin-padded glove and work longer.

Their are some bags that are softer than others, with different sorts of padding towards the surface.. Most certainly none of them would be soft enough to really go at them with JUST wraps on...
And damn, my wrists end up sore enough with a proper wrap AND gloves sometimes after a good session on the bag, no one should be silly enough to train without proper protection for their joints.
