Some of them Percentages don't add up but it looks like that list is of KO percentage of the fights they won.. in which case Marciano wouldn't be the highest percentage Heavyweight Champ as Frank Bruno's KO/win percentage is 95

I noticed they were a bit off too when i first saw that stuff about a year ago. I haven't yet figured out how he calculated them.Originally Posted by L33
Yeah which is a shame really, interesting read nevertheless
Louis must be up there - he rolled over a heluva lotta heavyweights. I know he was small by todays standards but treating this like a pound-for-pound study for a moment he was up there. Punched in impressive combinations too

The only people who are likely to know the answer are the guys that have fought them.
Ali said the hardest ever puncher he fought was Earnie Shavers.
Holmes said the hardest ever puncher he fought was Earnie Shavers.
Earnie may not have been able to land it every time he fought because he didnt have the speed and stamina to go along with the power. But the question is "Who is the Hardest Puncher", not "Who is the Best Puncher".
I go with 1) Shavers, 2) Foreman, 3) Max Baer, 4) Marciano, 5) Liston
All this is just guess work though. The only way we would know for sure is to get them to punch that machine that Ivan Drago punched in Rocky 4 !

Foreman, easily. No one else is close.
Rocky is a candidate for top Five punchers but he was an over-rated mafia Boy so we'll never know. He fought old men and fought in a very weak era.
Lewis has an amazing right hand but he didn't have Rocky's balls so we don't know how good he was.
1. Foreman
2. Wills
3. Dempsey (He probably wasn't but he fucking well went for it)
I'm never drinking again (I am a liar)
Foreman
i am surprised so many of you have tyson on the list ring magazine had tyson no 77 in the hardest heavyweight punchers of all time . Also a lot of boxing fans these days think his power is overrated . I saw a clip of tyson using the heavybag with rooney and his punches didnt look that hard.
uhhh...what? I'm by no means a Tyson fan but to have him outside the top 10 or even 5 in all time heavy hitters is absurd...You combine the power he had with his hand speed and you got one of the most dynamic punchers of all time. I'd put Foreman at the top with Shavers/Liston/Tyson/Marciano some where behind

Rocky had ball's? Tough fighter but he never faced a live threat in his life. His title defences were against old men.Originally Posted by taansend

This is the hardest ever. Period. Foreman , Frazier and Tyson when Ernie Shavers come back was denied by Tyson's people saying it was too risky for there young fighters career.Best ever to never win a championship.

An awful lot of you guys are including tyson on your lists, and altho i do rate him top 5 or so i have to point out that lennox hit harder. Thats not an opinion thats a scientifically proven fact, see Lewis biography.
