yeah he's a mupet. and as much of a gobshite as floyd snr and lil floyd. and i swear when he's on the pads with floyd he's the one doing the most work.
I quite like Floyd's family. Complete trailer park trash, Roger especially sounds like a coked up, brain fried street hobo who would probably fit better as one of the participants on bum fights than training the world's premier fighter.
Floyd senior just looks like the Predator to me, kind of cool in a nightmarishly comic book freakstlye kind of way. I always think of that Nathalie Portman film from a couple years ago with that masked Guy Fawkes anti-hero character.
Roger Mayweather is a excellent trainer and was agood fighter too
I guess you guys have met and spent a lot of time with Roger Mayweather to have such strong - HARSH - opinions on him...
...or did you just watch a few interviews with him and assume you know the guy personally?
I'm putting my money on the latter...

Beanflicker have a CC from me because i like Roger Mayweather
Roger is obviously a crackhead. I also wonder how much of PBF's success is because of his God given talent rather than the training he's received by Roger. I feel the same way watching the pad drill. It's obvious it exercises Floyd's reflexes, but Floyd is pitter patting while Roger slaps away with the pads. I truly can't put too much blame on lil Floyd being such a prick after seeing his family.
I like how Roger says his court case was like O.J.?? When you beat up your mother in law Punch drunk and a crack head is my psychoanalysis.
He is a complete wally!
I can never figure out when working the pads while some fighters stand still !?
Surely throwing good punches come from the feet i think alot of what established trainers do is antiquiated bullplop, I'm not an expert on the subject but I've read a little about nuerological pathways and how with constant training they can be widened .
My point is if Floyd Mayweather from what 'ive seen spends alot of time standing very close to Mayweather whilst he throw's those pitter pads at FM's Mitts and JRN leans away without moving his feet , surly thats bad habits !
Just how it looks ,I'm not saying thats how they work everyday .
Also , I've seen Floyd SNR doing the same with Oscar , Oscar stands still and hits his pads with pitter patter punches without moving his feet and standing square on
What make's Roger Mayweather a good trainer somebody please tell me .
Floyd was had pedigree before he came to him.
Well, I will admit the Brothers Mayweather are definetly rough around the edges and obviously dont know how to act when there is a camera around..... I never really remembered Roger to be as vocal as he's been for this fight.... I just think he is trying to capitalize on his 15min of reality tv show fame
Except for the Baldo fight, Mayweather routinely stands in the pocket slipping and shoulder rolling punches. which helps him counter punch better since his transition from offense to defense is almost seamlessOriginally Posted by Swashbuckling Gordy
Yeah i hear what your saying but i was talking generally !!
His methods work for him but i just think Boxing is as much about Feet as it is about hands , i don't get all that leaning away with his torso and not moving his feet because i don't thnk Floyd EMPLOYS THESE METHODS DURING A FIGHT his greatest asset is his quick feet
He does standin the pocket but i don't think his posture is the same as when he trains and i think it looks like a waste of time , if you read my whole post you'll see i said the same for De la hoya !
Throwing those pitter patter shots from roger Mayweather doesnt test his reflexes .
I've always said Floyd has great Balance and Footwork i just think whats the point of throwing the pads at silly angles when thats not what he does in the fight , i know they work on punching from the shoulder in the pocket i was questioning the pitter patter technique .
In 24/7 3 you see Floyd Snr doing the same with Guzman Calzaghe does the same with his Dad i just asked 'very politely ' whats the benfit ?
