    This one took some searching. It's Karl Mildenberger. 1966, which is a bit of a surprise, would have thought it would be someone earlier. Now I haven't researched the handedness of every heavyweight challenger in history, but I'll go with this.

    Aside from Hopkins, Arguello and RMarquez name at least 2 more other fighters who lost their pro-debuts but still wen't on to become World Champs?

    I happened to have boxrec opened to Mike Weaver when I saw this question. I'm sure I'll stumble accross others one of these days.

    remember that episode of GROWING PAINS where mike seaver finally lands a bit part in a tv show and they F up his credits and they credit him at the end as : MIKE WEAVER lol
