For me, it has to be Chris Eubank. When I first started watching boxing with my gramps when I was about 10 or 11, it was in the era of his clashes with Nigel Benn, and I used to always root for Benn cause I really found Eubank and his attitude to be horrible, and the rest of the crowd tended to jeer him too.

But as I've got older and the more I read and see of Eubank and his fights, I find I quite like him and his flamboyance, and the whole act that he has, and that he's actually a rather bright bloke too.

Chris was my favourite fighter growing up although all my mates hated him with a passion. Now everybody thinks he's a legend.

It's funny how time changes people's perceptions. I remember all my mates laughing at me for fancying Kylie when she was in Neighbours. Then she went on to become a popstar and for a while they laughed even more.

Suddenly she hit about 28 yrs old and the whole world started fancying her

None. Fighters I dislike. I dislike. Peter Manfredo had a chance. But than he showed why I disliked him in the first place (he's a bum) with his non effort against Calzaghe.

I didn't like Oscar De La Hoya until he "lost" (what fight where the judges watching?) against Felix Trinidad. I didn't really hate him, I just wanted to see him loose and see how HBO and Oscar himself would take a loss.

I didn't like Naseem Hamed until he lost against Marco Antonio Barrera. Quite an entertaining boxer. Too bad he's not fighting anymore.

    I agree I can't say I have actually hated a fighter.

Roy Jones used to bother me. I always thought he was too ckckey fighting lesser opponents. Even if there was not a whole lot to choose from for a while at light heavy and That is not his fault I know but he would get so arrogant in after fight interviews like he just walked through the P4P best

I was about 12 or 13 when Clay/Ali was making his mark in boxing. I prayed for someone to knock him out and shut his mouth. He ended up being one of my all time favorites.

My father said the same thing about Ali, he didn't care for him @ the time - now he really likes him & wishes we had a HW champ like him again.

    Don't we all?

Hearns was scary, if I was a fighter he would be one I would run out of the ring because of his eyes and goatie beard. He is one of the all time greats and one of the most exciting fighters I have ever seen. Absolute legend. Accept what you said about Andries he became a better fighter after the defeat but he did have to find out the hard way because Hearns knocked him down about ten times in that fight and Andries just kept bouncing back up.
