Default Limond claims he won fight!

    http://www.frankwarren.tv/drill/News...beat-khan.html

Basically, young Willie Limond says that after watching the tape and the referee's count, the 10 actually took 13 seconds with the referee counting.

I've always though that referee's count pretty slow, and I guess he does have a point, but I guess this'll be one of those things that only Limond himself will remember in 20 years time, when he tells his kids about how he beat the great Amir Khan. Well, maybe....

i read something before about refrees tending to count slow

and it being something to do with they dont want to count too quikcly and end up goin to far and counting too slowly a second is harder to time mentally than u would think so not count is ever goin to be exact

in khans case i think even if it was a long count i reckon he could have got up in the normaly ten seconds anyway i think he only tried to drop to his knee to clear his head which obviously didnt work ,

its irrelevant now as u said just something for limond to tell his kids in a few years time and who knows he may not be considered 'the great amir khan' by that point especially the way he is going with keeping his hands by his sides and inviting people to hit him

Its better to have a slow count than a fast 1 because if you have a slow count and get up the ref can still choose to call the fight off if your not recoverd enough.Where if you have a fast one you dont get the chance to get the extra seconds so you can try and recover.

Limond is just mouthing off cos khan got his act togethor and slapped him about after the knockdown....khan went down got straight back up and went to one knee on the advice of his corner..
limond didint capitolise and khan recovered ... .Limond can only blame himself he didint win...he had the oppurtinuty and wasted it i dont think anyone can argue with that

from what i remember kahn was watching the ref and got up - he took the time he needed

you can't say he won the fight 'coz the ref counted slow... he waited util it was time to get up

Limond failed to capitalise but another more capable fighter may not. Another performance like that, against Jon Thaxton for example could prove a lot more costly

Which is exactly why Khan is not being put in with a fighter of the quality of a Thaxton at the moment.

Okay, so we're all agreed that he needs to button his lip, open his fists and keep his hands up before he starts to shoot his mouth again.
